kirbster Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I have acquired "BLOCKING OVERHEADS". Finally learned what Tsubaki's looks like on reaction lol. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE T___T
tofurr Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE T___T Tell us, Gli!!!! ;~;
gli Posted February 17, 2012 Author Posted February 17, 2012 The problem is that you are (naturally?) focused on Tsubaki herself. Instead look near your character's head for the book. It actually glows and is quite easy to react to.
Chazmobile Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Welp GG is being ported to XBLA. See ya later BB :D Just kidding I couldn't leave you guys <3
Chaoschao222 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Modern pretty game w/ Noel > 3 year old game without Noel
Sakaku Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Modern pretty game w/ Noel > 3 year old game without Noel I believe this man speaks the truth. Is there a Rachel/Noel equivalent in GG?
Chazmobile Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Dizzy I suppose... But fuck them and play one the swaggiest guys in the roster. Eddie.
Sakaku Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Dizzy doesn't play like Noel or Rachel at all. >: I tried to play May once but I'm so bad at charging.
HexaNoid Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I tried to play A.B.A once but I'm so bad at fighting games.
Chazmobile Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I tried to play A.B.A once but I'm so bad at fighting games. Finally you see what i'm on about! @Sakaku: Yeah, but she's the closest I can think of for Rachel, with the whole setting up items to aid your offense and stuff. There really aren't any characters that truly play like Rachel unfortunately. Surprisingly, none of the GG characters really play like their BB counterparts at all.
kirbster Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I've been told that Rachel is pretty similar to Testament, with having to set up the field with traps and all. But he's a crossdressing man ._.
Chazmobile Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I've been told that Rachel is pretty similar to Testament, with having to set up the field with traps and all. But he's a crossdressing man ._. Oh yeah, I forgot about him :<
kodimt Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Rachel mains are all over the place in GG, if you played it that is. I played Zappa, and will continue to play him. You'd be surprised how different GG characters are, and you may find a new love.
kirbster Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Well, I found love in Jam a long time ago. I saw her go PAOUHHHH and my heart just melted
Chazmobile Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 All about dat Eddie and Jam dude. Nothing feels better than doing CH Nobiru>Dizzy>IK or carrying someone fullscreen with charged Ryuujin into Jam's awesome corner loop. God I'm so damn hype for this aaaaaah.
kro_ Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I played Millia. Such dirty oki setups. Anyways, it'll be nice to have a working stick to practice GG on. First time I played GG was on the Wii with a classic controller - and only because I was getting bored of 3s/mvc2/cvs2 and needed to justify my buying a Wii. Those were sad times. Loved GG though and that's why I was all over BB when it came out. Y'all should definitely pick it up or give it another shot.
kodimt Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I think that new j2C George combo is making me a worse Rachel. I'm focusing too much on if I can do it or not, instead of doing my normal combo. Shit is so fun though. :3
currentlemon Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 When I finally get my chance to play GG, I want to try Millia, May, or Sol. Back to Rachel, has anyone tried doing an instant overhead jump-cancelling from 5A instead of 5B. I practiced it on CS2 but never experimented with it any further. Now I used it on other characters with Rachel in Extend. It goes like this... 2A>5A(1)>2D*>JC>j.A*>j.B>land>5B>combo. or 2A>5A(2)>2D*>JC>j.A*>j.B>land>5B>combo. (This version is slightly easier). *Note: The 2D part is tricky. Using 5A as a jump cancel instead of 5B is harder. You have to let the joystick (analog) return to neutral (5) then input 9. Do it too quickly and you'll super jump, messing up your mix-up. This works on most of the cast, surprisingly on Carl and Lambda. But with smaller hitbox characters like Hazama, Noel, and Litchi. I put 2A as the starter because it's easier to input the motion, for me that is. I can't follow it up with a second overhead jump-cancel j.b from j.b. But it will probably work on Tager. Maybe someone else can experiment on this for me.
[SpA]Relentless Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Tip: Try to get used to doing instant overheads by applying the wind AFTER the jump cancel, instead of before. Inputs are like this: 5A/5B, 9, 2AD (press A and D together). It has many advantages: - Less obvious, because there's no downwind before the jump. - No accidental superjumps/you don't have to buffer into a 2A/2B. - Fuzzy guards become easier, because wind became active later (keeps you lower after the dj). On chars with a small crouching hitbox, you can input it as 5A/5B, 9, 2D~A (D immediately after the jump, A with a slight delay - think kara/piano input from various other games).
kotokot Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Guilty Crown 17.. WTF @_@?!? did he choose ragna route?
Deikan Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I watched the current episode and I still don't know if the kid deserved what he got or to feel sorry for him. It sucks that his friends betrayed him and lost his powers, and to top it off the area he's in is going to get nuked. It sure sucks to be Guilty Crowns MC -_-!!
