Dont_Explain Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 For pressure yes 5B>5C is bad. From max range there isn't much else you can do besides 5C, 2D, or DS. Even if you hit DS, you still have to get close to them afterwards and people can press buttons.
advancedNoob Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Resetting pressure with 2C works, but only so often since a lot of times you have to dash forward afterwards to get more pressure. I did DP when you did triple missiles. and j.C is amazing yes, but I swear every other Ragna in the world seems to always have you guys just sitting there not pressing buttons or moving. Press buttons like you would against me and I bet it works. The trick is in mixing things up, afterc2c you can 5D(1) dash or DS, you can 3C, 2D, 6C, 6D, 6B, HF. 2C is one of ragnas best moves, u just need to use it right. Oh and Moy, theres no way ragna is bad match up for plat. She does same of dven more damage, her normals are hakumen grade and her pressure is pure craziness, ragna is half the character she is.

Dont_Explain Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 (edited) GH? It's not a bad idea, it's just most people block high from afar. If I hit 2D, you take some damage, but roll backwards and I lose oki. I'm sure you rather do that instead of giving me a combo. @Advanced: Most the stuff you listed to do after 2C is can be mashed out in some way. All of Ragna's stuff is "I hope this works". there is no surefire answer. Edited May 12, 2012 by Dont_Explain
Rhiya Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Everyone's pressure is "I hope this works." It's not just Ragna
mAc Chaos Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Why would you want a surefire answer. It wouldn't be a game anymore then.
Dont_Explain Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Why would you want a surefire answer. It wouldn't be a game anymore then. Would be pretty boring if it was that way, but I was just saying it's not THAT amazing.
Zeron_X25 Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Everyone's pressure is "I hope this works." It's not just Ragna LOL. Even Arakune?
cookiehours Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 @cookie: It was me that made the comment but i didn't say anything to you about the scrub Ragna you played. it was just a general statement i made about you not doing so well with Mu and wondering why when she is braindead. no offense EDIT: yeah also don't take much to heart. makes me remember that one time Moy gave me this long paragraph of insults (but helpful) in a psn message WAY back. I think I'm fairly solid with Mu. It's matches that I am trying to learn effectively. Combo-wise, I feel confident. And it wasn't an easy adjustment for me since I was using Lambda since CS1. It just takes time for me to get used to a character, that's all.
Rhiya Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 LOL. Even Arakune? Inside curse, he can spam bullshit enough that he's almost 100% going to hit you, though it's still theoretically possible to block every mixup in curse Outside curse, it's pretty much "I hope this works," except for the shit where he gets curse meter on block

You're wrong even on your first point.
OmegaBankai Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Its possible to avoid being cursed, but then again i thought that was the goal in the first place.

Once you're cursed, say goodbye to life. So basically you try to avoid being cursed in the first place.
Rhiya Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 No it's not theoretically possible. You're wrong even on your first point. If it's not theoretically possible, then he has unavoidable unblockables. The chances are small, but it's possible for you to block everything in curse. You'd have to guess right a shitton of times, though. EDIT: To be clear, there's a difference between "theoretically possible" and "likely to happen in a match."

cookiehours Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 It's pretty likely that you would get guard broken and eat combo anyways. Lets netplay tonight. v.v I have candy almonds. I feel good.
Rhiya Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 It's pretty likely that you would get guard broken and eat a combo anyway. There is that. >_>
Dont_Explain Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 (edited) Actually, I'm gonna be smart and not play since salt levels were already rising today. I would run into everything Mu would throw out and it wouldn't be healthy for me. Sorry Cookie. Edited May 12, 2012 by Dont_Explain
OmegaBankai Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Damn im hungry. Is anybody on? I need to learn to block.

toanenadiz Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 (edited) I know mu is really good or whatever, but I find her, and lamby to easiest characters to fight, I almost never have problem fighting them, the hardest part is getting to them, once I do, they're in the corner for almost the rest of the match. Don't you play Bang? If it's not theoretically possible, then he has unavoidable unblockables. The chances are small, but it's possible for you to block everything in curse. You'd have to guess right a shitton of times, though. EDIT: To be clear, there's a difference between "theoretically possible" and "likely to happen in a match." Arakune has unblockables though... AdmiralKorngold Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 It all depends on if you get trapped. And once the loop is confirmed don't burst. If you can avoid lockdown you can avoid curse. Then again avoid lockdown, avoid curse, get hit with a poke, f of g, fun starts over.

Rhiya Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Did not expect random XDest I got raped so hard ;_; Only the second time I'd played Taokaka since I switched to Litchi. My body was not ready. It's not possible because you'll be guard crushed. There is that, yeah. >_>
