I honestly dont see that. Its probably because i dont play platinum, but every time i play against her I'm really scared. She does so much damage and has so many tools, including unblockables and a command grab .

The unblockables are extremely situational though. You need a ground hit-confirm, Missiles/Bombs, 50 Heat, and the Hammer as the next weapon. When I get all of that I'm all like "thank you Based God". The command grab has a 24 frame start-up, assuming that's it's done point blank, if not then you get a few extra frames to jump out and it's highly punishable. The only times I use that thing is if I'm going for the kill, if I can't crack the guy's defense (lol SKD blocked all my mix-up), or if I want to recharge my current item.

She has a lot of tools but it doesn't help that a lot of them are situational. If I get an item that helps with neutral in the beginning of the match, then I'm set but if I don't then I'm gonna have a helluva time trying to land a hit.

How bout I just learn Arakune and be done with it? This discussion just keeps turning into "You aren't using Ragna right clearly"

I don't know what else to say. I'm just done.

You could just keep practicing bro. Just focus on what you are doing wrong, and take steps to fix it.

Real talk you can't learn the game if you play ragna. So you should all stop trying to make ragna more complex than he actually is and just accept Ragna time all the time. The only reason SKD and nineball learned the game was because the got really fucking bored and wanted to see how many normals they can IB or how many frame traps they can gold burst.

Honestly people undermine their characters in this forum way too much. I have read some free shit like bang is a bad character, Plat has terrible oki, Jin is a bad character because I can't win with him, Mu 12 is a hard character, etc. Instead of arguing nonsense amongst yourselves why don't you all just go into to training mode and grind out. LK learned the game on his own. So stop trying to take the easy way out and practice practice practice.

Hopefully this won't be the case for P4U =/

Jin IS a bad character because I can't win with him, tru fax.

I actually have an easier time winning with Jin than Plat, maybe because I've been playing him since CT lol. This whole thing just revolved around me explaining to D_E why Ragna dominates Plat in neutral. Really, if it was about Plat just being sucky then I wouldn't play her to begin with. Then again, I play these two characters because I like their fighting style (balance), nothing else.

l know my character is broken

except in cs when she was literally broken ._.

Things just got awesome.

I can't win with Jin because of boredom. That's why I move on for a bit. I then go back to Jin and go on a mad winning streak. Seriously, Jin is an OK character, he's just got some nerfs that I'm not feeling. I kinda dislike the fact that some of my normals hurtbox surrounds the hitbox amongst other things. BTW, anyone up for some games? I'm converting videos on my laptop and I can't do anything else ATM.

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm WAY too tired to try and play this game. I don't know what I was thinking running on no sleep

Who's the best AI to use in training mode? Just a general question. I plan to spend time in training mode today No more excuses. This chica is gonna improve.

Honestly I'm not trying to bash anybody. I just don see the purpose in complaining 24/7, IMO its gone too far.

Lambda probably. But you should just use the random recording feature over fighting the AI to practice.

I'll do just that. But then again there are people who do dumb things online...

Including me sometimes. :psyduck:

you play a good character!

I feel like Jin is a solid character that is as good as the player who is attempting to use him. He's got the tools still, it's just harder to confirm damage like in CT/CS2 because of his mid-screen/aerial nerfs, along with a few other things. He's definitely a hard character to win with, I think it's a stretch to say he's bad... I sure as hell wouldn't ever get a win with him if that was the case.

Makoto, Relius and Tsubaki kind of might be the only characters that can use the bad character os, but even that is debatable, especially in comparison to the travesty that was CS1 Rachel and Tsubaki, or Tager throughout this game's lifespan excluding EX.

Neo needs a "Real Talk" award, for always posting true shit whenever he does decide to step in.

The recording would help you block mix-ups, but that's entirely based on how you use it and set it up yourself.

For the AI, it really doesn't matter (pick a character you want to practice fighting against) but I guess make sure it is set on 100 obviously so it's the best it can get. You could put your health at 20-30% to give yourself a disadvantage and force yourself to not make mistakes (not blocking / dropping combos). Burst should be off or else the computer will keep using them. Besides that, setup everything else to play like a real match (no health regeneration).

Fighting against the cpu in training mode is useful for practicing hit confirming in a realistic situation. It's also good for practicing your pressure because the computer WILL blow you up when you go for a slow attack, which means you have to set it up good to even land it.

Just don't try to exploit the poor AI by doing things you wouldn't really get away with in a real match. Use it for what it is.

Thank you very much Zeth. I want to apologize in advance once more to anyone I was extremely salty to. It's mostly me getting angry for myself for being so stupid and doing stupid things I know wouldn't work.

Relius isn't a bad character, it's just that other characters can do what he does more efficiently and with better rewards. Relius just needs a few tweaks and he could easily be a strong character. Compared to Rachel from CS1, Relius is pretty good. I'm not quite sure I would say he's on the level of Tsubaki/Makoto, but if he's better than them, it's only marginally so.

When I win with Relius it's either because the other player didn't know what was going on, or because I was the better player that match, that's how I feel at least.
