I'll rue the day when my pad ceases to function and I'm forced to finally learn stick. It's getting there, the directional inputs are fucking sensitive now and the Square + Circle buttons are beginning to stick.

I DUN WANNA

My pad still works, but it ain't up for fighting games :[

I think I wouldn't mind stick so much once I start actually managing to do IADs consistantly. I think that's my main problem atm.

IADs, DP motions, and 632146 motions are my stick enemies. That and that shit is bulky and loud as fuck.

lol people like making noise on their sticks, its like part of the experience

What are they to be enjoying making pointless noise? 5? lol

every time i see people playing on stick they just smack the shit out of it

i usually just tap it PRECISELY at the exact moment, although i like the clicking it makes

i let one of my friends use my stick once, when he was done the stick was stuck in the 9 position instead of going back to neutral.

mortons ensued

Not gonna lie, I too smack the shit out of those buttons. Not that I enjoy it, I'm just not so precise as to push them slowly and accurately lol.

GGs to everyone I played today, BGs to PSN derping on me in the middle of my match with joeboy.

Also 3 wakeup Relius astrals in one room? I don't like it when people make it so damn easy.

Well, I still hit them hard enough to be sure that it's registering. I don't want to just nip it and then see nothing happen.

In fact, sometimes I'm sure that I hit the button, but the input never registers. I can't ever tell if I actually hit it hard enough, or if it just didn't register it or not. It seems to happen constantly for the same move, so it could be an execution thing or maybe stick related...

when I play I just slap my butt really hard on the pad until I die or my opponent dies

I almost was about to have a game with Nineball Infinite and that PSN had to go and screw that up. I'm gonna be kinda hung up on that for a minute.

Do you play on Sanwas or Seimitsus or other? Sanwa's will register if you breathe on them while Seimitsu's you actually gotta "press".

Octagonal gates also make more cool "clicking" noises, lol.

Only inputs that I tend to mess up on stick are if I'm facing left and try DPs or Bang's IAD j.4C combos. I also don't mash the buttons cause I don't see the point, I only "double tap" certain moves (5C in FRKZ, some air j.4C>j.Cs) but it's not really the same concept as actual double tapping.

The whole point of playing on stick is that you can be more precise and the buttons are huge by comparison to pad, so I don't see how someone could NOT be accurate on stick and have to mash the buttons.

I got the SF4 TE, whatever that was.

I heard about the whole "so sensitive you can breathe on them" thing, but it didn't seem THAT sensitive. I let my violin playing friend use it, who's use to making very subtle movements on the instrument, and he was confused since he kept trying to push it lightly only to have it not register an input. So I just ended up telling him to slam it harder instead of being so delicate with it.

I "flick" them, not mash them. Kinda like a snake biting something and quickly retracting its head lol.

I had a problem when I first started playing stick because the Sanwas were so sensitive. I would like brush a button with the pinky on my stick hand - random 5D. OTL

GGs to everyone I played today. It's so fun dropping combos, you guys should try it sometime.

I do it every day. :v:

GGs to a few people I played today. Played kinda crappy. Heat + playing BB = misery.

Dropping 8k combos is even more ridiculous. :yaaay:

Yup, it's called "playing Platinum and attempting multiple 22C combos on netplay" :v:

Speaking of netplay, I'll be on for about an hour or so while the stream monsters are away.
