GGs to those that I played on Ranked and the people in RockVolnuttX's room. That Jin who was in there, Mucielago787....Was that Haven? He was really good...

EDIT: Just found out it wasn't Haven.

Ggs to axis (do you like this matchup? Lol), cookie, feelingthewind, laststarsavior. playing this game buzzed: DP everything, all the time.

I actually like the match up, I just can't block overheads so then I try to guess at overheads and get hit by 2B lol.

I got a little frustrated so I had to back out a bit, certain things would not come out, just little things really.

Other than that it was fine, I got used to the connection and we had it smoother as well.

GGs to everyone I played in my stream today. Oh man I got real salty at Tager and Noel. I also now have a headache. I suspect it's from too much BlazBlue.

That Tager was me.

You did really well, you impressed me.

You played the match up to a tee but your DP's was really predictable and you got flustered and charged right in.

Also your approach left you wide open to me sticking shit out, I didn't feel like I had to look out for Jin's other dangerous tools as much as I would Shin.

Nevertheless if I slipped at all you would have beaten me so I couldn't fuck around with you like I did those 2 Ragna's.

Toan, what time did you want me to get on today? I don't get out of work till around 4:30-5:00 EST, so anytime after that really.

Anytime after that is fine. Just post on DL when you are getting on so I know. I have today off and I have no plans except chores, games and sleep.

I'd say that whoever sweeps the room should pass. Let the other people have a chance to play each other. It doesn't really matter in a 3-man room but 4-man rooms or higher, it gets tedious.

nope

4 man is actually ok.

I make 4 player 1 spectator slot rooms.

You'd be surprised at the amount of people who just wants to watch the game.

yeah, i dont see spec rooms enough on PSN

i used to stay up hella late to watch shounen play on XBL

I've been running 4 man rooms. Time constraints. Getting through 6 people takes forever. I think I'll start adding a spectator 5th. Also, not passing. Maybe clearing a cycle is an excuse to sub or troll and invite someone to take you out.

Posted

I usually pick a sub after I sweep a room.

Sometimes I just don't want to freely pass it.

Yo someone got my thread deleted.

Anyways, games or practice tonight? I'm not sure. I think tomorrow is better and I'll play that night.

I should consider netplaying a bit more, need to improve my neutral game a bit. Only frustrating part is whenever I join a random room I end up facing people who keeps mashing crazily and do stuff that only works on netplay.

Aw. As frustrating as it was, it had some good advice.

Online question: is it considered proper etiquette for one to pass if clearing a 4 person room or does said person keep going? Also bgs to me. I feel like i can't adapt to my own character tonight. Not feeling it
this is a good question, one i've wanted to ask. l personally don't care whether someone passes or not, i'll play them again eventually even if they leave. but sometimes when l enter/make a room and get put in a situation like this, pass vs. play again... and not wanting to upset the ppl in the room cause some guys hate when you pass ("you think youre better than me, bitch!?") and some when you play (pass the goddamn game already!?)... :(

It's only soft-deleted, when I'm in a better mood I'll pick through and delete what retardation I can. I just couldn't let it keep going like it was.

I could see the direction it was going.

But some people only listen when they see that their viewpoint is considered ridiculous.

I personally view someone passing as saying 'I may have bodied everybody, but I want everyone to play and I'm not bored yet' at least for me. I hope that's how it's interpreted. It's a fine line playing with anonymous people.....

Then again, I pass at close matches, and matches that I won but shouldn't have.

Side note: @ starlight, I never thought about it, but after forever of kof13 I never tried it online, so I just did. It's terrible. Sooooo baaaaad

I feel like it is dependent upon the room situation itself AND the players in it.

If it's like a 3 person room then it's almost like what's the point in passing. If it's a 4 person room that could be more reasonable cause it would mean more than just 2 other people might get to play each other. If it's 5 or 6, hell no, cause that's a lot of people to go through and wait around for in the first place.

If you look at it like it would be at the arcades where it's winner stays and everyone else has to take turns going against them, you earned the right to stay on, then there's no reason for you to pass. The difference however is that is an ARCADE, you're there with actual people you can socialize with or even play other games while you wait depending on how many people are at the cab. You can't really do that on netplay, cause you're kinda just stuck there waiting your turn, unless you can do other stuff around the room you're playing in like get on the computer. Or you can talk in the PSN chatroom at least or on mics.

I think it also comes down to who you're playing against. If it's a room full of people relatively equal in skill I don't really see the point in passing if you managed to sweep it. But if everyone else in the room is lowered skilled than you and you're just going to keep destroying them then maybe you could pass after you sweep it (or maybe if you sweep it twice in a row).

It doesn't really matter though and I don't think there needs to be any etiquette people should go by. If you won, you earned it, in that sense you earned the right to do whatever you want in the room.

Personally, sometimes I'll pass if I somehow managed to sweep a room and sometimes I won't, it just depends on the room/players.

Soo no one just waits for the please pass quote.... i personally have no problems passing,,, but i wont unless im asked,,, or i want a salty runback lol

I don't think they should pass, make the guy shitting on everyone lose rather than him passing. But like Zeth said it depends on the person. In my case it motivates me...some others get frustrated so eh :<

I actually am still learning that matchup. I have a lot of trouble with it because I'm downright scared of Tager's ridiculous damage, and even if I start out well I generally lose the match. And I don't want to pressure him at normal spacing like with other characters because I've had Backdash > Punish shoved in my face too many times, and supers mashed in my blockstrings. So at this point I try to do some damage and then keep mostly fullscreen. Some people recommended using j.C more in the matchup and I can now see why. But if I get hit by spark bolt or if you suddenly have more life than me, I get nervous and try to charge in for damage.

nope

Saw that coming, lol.
