Good god I hate the Ragna match-up almost as much as Jin (Seriously he can just jump into a volcano). (Still not gonna) No. I did notice that you either drop combos or maybe don't do the best ones (I wouldn't know), so for the most part I wasn't really scared of anything in particular you were doing. I don't know if it's your hit confirming or maybe the combos themselves. When you hit someone you need to make them pay dearly for it, and I just didn't really feel that against you. But your Platinum is good for my own skill level so I'm not one to judge. I won't do that anymore I swear. You should still do it occasionally to catch people off guard. I guess you could try and determine if you should do it depending on the opponents playstyle. Some people like to press a lot of buttons (not really mashing) which means you could catch them if you make the right read. While other people play more passive, so they'll always be looking out for randomness and won't get hit by hailmarys most of the time. Myself for example, after like Day 1 vs a Platinum I became fully aware to expect them to do "random heartcar" and now I don't really get hit by it that often. Everyone considers LostSoul to be a good Platinum (I do), and I'm pretty sure he will just throw that shit out there occasionally. Just be smart about it I guess.

floatwater Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 TD marvel is this. burn your option into muscle memory as well as combos, it's all reaction. if you don't have that then you need to work on that shit like crazy. UMVC3 is a little lenient on windows for thinking. but not by much.

Gotta reset everything now.. ggs to toan, weedfiend, nineball, and those other guys. for the last couple of days ive been getting hit by 720 because people butter churn while getting hit and its working... ;~; now i remember why i hated fighting tagers. also toan its not your connection its nines, our 1st fight was good then it lagged like shit until the room kicked him. then i quit, because lonely.

Also, I have a solid connection with Nineball. There was a moment where we had a bad connection when I lived in VA but sine I moved out Midwest, our connection is great. Weird that I live farther away and I get a better connection with him...
