pneuma Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 The passing came up when some random guy was in a room and he was not at the same skill level, so I just subbed randoms and did tech traps to extract any fun out of it. He kept saying please pass but I got tired of it after a while. Things got dark real quick: all of a sudden his mic turns on and he is asking the host to kick me. No response. Then he started screaming 'let me up let me up!' whenever he got in the corner. Actually he was shrieking it and I felt very dirty. That's when I realized player rooms have a very different etiquette expectation.

Jyosua Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Sounds like he was just waaaaaay below your skill level. Passing after seeing the room is nice if everyone else is below your skill level. I sometimes will just leave the room if someone is hogging all the matches, unless I want to play them the most anyhow.

Some of those losses were frustrating cause I felt I should've won some of those matches but didn't because one moment something hit me when it shouldn't have or I messed up something stupid somehow. But I guess it was a good frustrating cause most of the time the matches were relatively close so at least they were actual good games.

I have a lot of trouble with it because I'm downright scared of Tager's ridiculous damage, and even if I start out well I generally lose the match. And I don't want to pressure him at normal spacing like with other characters because I've had Backdash > Punish shoved in my face too many times, and supers mashed in my blockstrings. So at this point I try to do some damage and then keep mostly fullscreen. Some people recommended using j.C more in the matchup and I can now see why. But if I get hit by spark bolt or if you suddenly have more life than me, I get nervous and try to charge in for damage. Just take your time and keep your distance. Tager's damage shouldn't be your problem, just keep him out and try to read the player. You did everything right in a game play respect you just lack consistency.

mAc Chaos Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 (edited) Don't drop her just because you need to work on her. Everyone sucked with their character at one point. You don't just pick up a character and instantly become god with them. Most of us have been playing our characters for like four games now, so it took that long to get to this point. Yggjrasil Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 (edited) I like when other people upload matches of you without your permission, it's always a video of you playing at your worse (or that ONE TIME that they got a win and it's because of dumb luck, and they make it seem like they bodied you, but in reality they've gotten their ass whupped by you so many times that you lost count.). A couple of people have done that, I've eventually paid them back in full for doing so, but yeah...I hate that shit so much. Edited June 14, 2012 by Yggjrasil
mAc Chaos Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Yeah, even if you changed your character, it's not Plat that's making the mistakes, it's you. So you would just have the same problems with whoever you picked up next. Your only choice is to get better. Unless you just don't like Plat.

You whiffed everyone except for one against me and you didn't have the meter to RC the one I blocked.
