He's been playing weird lately though and losing to stupid Lambda things so it makes sense he would lose to stupid Bang stuff.

And should I feel bad that I can't use Ragna at all?

Also, my friends like to commandeer the xbox whenever they feel like it, so that "sure" might as well be a "we'll see".

What are these "stupid Lambda things"?

Ragna is only slightly more braindead than Mu. Mu's moves are more prone to punishment when used at the wrong time than Ragna's moves. Which is reasonable since her Cs have a shitload of reach and do stupid damage near/in the corner.

Her DP feels way harder to punish though. It's such a pain.

She doesn't have as much recovery but her DP is much easier to bait due to its crappy range. It's a good thing that one of Plat's best starters has a 10F start-up. I can imagine it being a pain for Hakumen since he can't dash but how much would you get off a Gurren/4C confirm or whatever you use to punish her DP?

Well if you can combo with him that's like half the battle.

I can't do Ragna combos. I fail at doing any combos that require something other than C or D.

It is hard to describe it. It was more the style I was playing than concrete specific things. I did many wake-up supers I did anytime he tried to dash after knocking me away with SoD and apply pressure. Used 214A a lot in unsafe ways. Did guard break resets. Just pretty much playing in a way I felt was stupid and shouldn't have worked.

Wake-up supers, you threw the dice and it worked more than necessary lol. Isn't 214A barely -2 on block? Guard break resets are legit, I'll drop combos just for a chance to break someone's guard and go for a 5.5K combo lol.

I guess Lambda doesn't use B that often, at least not in combos, so I guess that button is foreign to you.

Yeah, if I block it and she has no meter to rapid, I can punish it easily. What I meant was the people I always fight, like Nemesis, always have meter to rapid after it, so even if I bait it, I'm still on defense. She can follow it up with 5C to make an airtight gatling and basically regain pressure even though she got baited. The only way to really make her hurt for it is to make it whiff, and then you're too far half the time to punish it effectively. It also is invincible to counters and goes through Hotaru.

Also, even her shotgun super beats Hotaru. My jaw dropped when I saw that.

Her DP is punishable for sure, its just not as easy to punish as ragnas.

Oh yeah, with meter most DPs can be used to start pressure. Jin's 5C has the reach to tag her after I bait the DP with a backdash or with a j.C if I dodge it in the air. lol, that's the beauty about it being a guard-point DP if it goes through Hotaru but I didn't know that it negated Counters as well.
