If you get cursed from a distance it doesn't prevent your escape. If he curses you up close you won't get to escape. Basically how it goes. Up to the Arakune to choose how he wants to curse. Though I haven't played an Arakune in awhile. They're a rare commodity. Might be able to sell them for 100000 gold on D3.

The bugs can appear 1 of 3 places on the screen. Leftmost (4), Center (5), or Rightmost (6).
