Moy_X7 Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 @Moy Good thing Jin is such a versatile character despite being low tier huh? That's why he's my main and will continue to be so until the final BB lol. He just needs a slightly better 2C, a slightly better 6A, a slightly better j.B, and he'll be perfect.
Agni Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Screw another zoner. I wanna see a fighting game dev create a game of nothing BUT zoners, like IaMP here. Dammit, IaMP was awesome. Never was or has been a FG like it.

Agni Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 you must have never played touhou. ...Dude, I got into IaMP BECAUSE I was a massive Touhou fan at the time.
TD Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 ...Dude, I got into IaMP BECAUSE I was a massive Touhou fan at the time. most/every touhou game is just full to the brim with projectiles, that's a rather large selection right there.
Agni Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 most/every touhou game is just full to the brim with projectiles, that's a rather large selection right there. Not sure what your point is. I know that, I'm just saying that I'm annoyed at how there's never been a fighting game with a such a heavy focus on projectiles.
AchedSphinx Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 a pure keep away character is what I call a passive zoner or a "camper", Lambda in my opinion is an aggressive zoner, which is why I use/used her lol aggressive boner True, once she has sickle storm going and has momentum it's pretty tough to take it back. I've watched some Lamchops mirrors. Good times. I don't personally like them because I always think of what the other Lambda can do and I end up losing in the act of thinking. I'm pretty bad against mirrors these days. Half the time though, it's just one Lambda destroying the other though. Kind of like Mu vs Lambda. I still can't beat my friend's d-mashing Mu with my Lambda :/ Fucking lasers just lock me down entirely and I have no clue WTF I'm supposed to do, if I go towards him I get hit, if I backdash I get hit. You're probably not utilizing your momentum properly. If she's at the momentum it's tough, but your best be is to use drives wisely instead of whatever way you want. If you have the moment try not to let it go. Completing a combo with air ender basically gives you it because Mu has little options when Lambda can do 6D across the screen. A smart Mu won't jump-in wake up and a bad one will keep doing it until it works. Once you have momentum, don't let it go, keep up the pressure and you'll win. Also remember Mu has a DP that's fairly easy to bait.

Agni Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 TD, you are REALLY bad at explaining yourself. I'm not even sure how to parse that last post of yours.
TD Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 (edited) it's not hard to understand... within touhou exists a few fighting games. those fighting games have all zoners. you said you havent seen a fighting game based on zoners. all i'm telling you is that they exist. Edited July 18, 2012 by TD
Moy_X7 Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 I'll be the middle man for the both of you. TD - Agni is wondering why there aren't projectile heavy fighting games outside of the Touhou adaptations. Agni - TD is saying that most of the Touhou fighting game adaptations focus heavily on projectiles and that there's a large selection of such games, within the Touhou trademark of course.
Agni Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Okay, maybe it's not THAT hard, but it could have been better. I'm simply saying that I'd like to see someone like Arksys (or whoever) try out a new IP, outside of Touhou, with a system that has a large focus on projectiles like IaMP does. I came up with a system myself that somewhat works (I like to come up with FG systems out of boredom), but I'm not a programmer, so...
mAc Chaos Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 HADOUKEN HADOUKEN HADOUKEN HADOUKEN People rage from dealing with one projectile usually.
Agni Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 HADOUKEN HADOUKEN HADOUKEN HADOUKEN People rage from dealing with one projectile usually. But when every single characters has a plethora of projectiles to use, people shouldn't be bitching unless they're scrubs. Use your own bullets and outzone them.

Moy_X7 Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 HADOUKEN HADOUKEN HADOUKEN HADOUKEN People rage from dealing with one projectile usually. lol SF > Projectile War > Someone fucks up or is too slow with the projectile command > Jump over projectile > SHORYUKEN Yes, I'm joking, before any of you go "IT'S WAY MORE INTRICATE THAN THAT, YOU SCRUB"
floatwater Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 most/every touhou game is just full to the brim with projectiles, that's a rather large selection right there. Touhou is just filled with pretty patterns if you want a real bullet hell play dodonpachi Ggs to Internet frauds. Fuck you
