Daedron Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Makoto mains are few, should be easy to remember. Anyway if you don't remember then thats better *poof* I kind of remember fighting a Makoto who could do perfect lvl 3's, but I remember that match being laggy as hell (yet still doing lvl 3's perfectly ;_; )...or maybe it was one of the other ones I had that night that was unplayable. I don't even really remember anymore, I fought more people from way outside the EU that night and none of those matches really stand out to me cause lol90%ofthetimelag, so yeah. I still wonder if it's because the room was called "Europe TSUTSU". (NO THAT IS NOT A TRAIN, IT DOESN'T MEAN ALL ABOARD THE TRAIN NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE FROM! :<) People love Tsubaki.
Zeron_X25 Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 You don't play Makoto if you can't do level 3s........
Star-Demon Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 (edited) Seventh_phoenon's Makoto drives me crazy with the running away and the buttons. Is this guy good? or is he scrub status? I can't tell with anyone anymore. Edited November 1, 2012 by Star-Demon
zeth07 Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Seventh_phoenon's Makoto drives me crazy with the running away and the buttons. Is this guy good? or is he scrub status? I can't tell with anyone anymore. Why does it matter?
Star-Demon Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 (edited) Why does it matter? Isn't it obvious? Because it's okay to be beaten by people who are good. It's not okay to be beaten by people who are bad. I'm getting bored - anyone up for games? Actually NM PSN is kinda screwy tonight. Edited November 2, 2012 by Star-Demon
mAc Chaos Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 You should just think of it as anyone who beats you is good.
toanenadiz Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 It's never okay to be beaten. And GGs to Tempest earlier. Glad to see I am not the only person rusty in BB.
mAc Chaos Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Nope. It's okay to be beaten. It's never okay to give up.
Lord Pwnge18 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 I can only imagine Toan having this massive, looming dark side to him, once you get past his adorable exterior.
mAc Chaos Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 I disagree But then you'll end up crying yourself to sleep every time you lose. Notice that's the attitude all the people who post in the Beginner Mode threads have, and they never can stay with the game long enough to get good. All the good players just go "lol" when they lose.
mynus Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 How is it EVER ok to be beaten? You learn from your losses but don't just accept them cause someone's better and be complacent...
mAc Chaos Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 (edited) It's just a difference in mindset. The difference between losing and going, "Man, how could I lose, I'm terrible," and "This guy was good, and if I do X Y and Z I could beat him". Just because your self esteem doesn't plunge when you lose doesn't mean you're just sitting back and giving up. One of those saps your will to play, the other encourages you to keep going. I don't even really think of the other person that much when I'm looking at my losses. Like, I don't think "THIS PERSON IS GDLK I WILL NEVER BEAT THEM" I just look at what I did and what I should have done instead and decide I'll do that next time. So it's more based on the mistakes I made which I can fix rather than catching up to somebody who might be infinitely far away. Edited November 2, 2012 by mAc Chaos
Star-Demon Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Gonna try to open a room, otherwise heading off to bed.
Starlight777 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Is it weird if I've gotten kind of complacent with my Relius and yet want to improve my Platinum? I mean what is that? There's times where I wanna kick Relius to the curb, yet still play him anyway.
Moy_X7 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Seventh_phoenon's Makoto drives me crazy with the running away and the buttons. Is this guy good? or is he scrub status? I can't tell with anyone anymore. He plays some weird ass neutral, I took a couple dozen games from him the other day. Anyways, GG to that one random Noel (PP-somethingish). I managed to block a bunch of 6Bs today for some reason lol.
Starlight777 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 GGs to Star-Demon and Zaldus. You got better Star and I need to learn the Makoto matchup lol.
Star-Demon Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 (edited) No improvement tonight. If I can't beat cookie after training since February IDK what to say to anyone anymore besides I'm sorry. You got better Star and I need to learn the Makoto matchup lol. Ordinarily I would say "if you say so" but I wholly disagree. I still have no neutral, pressure, spacing, combos, abare, or situational awareness. It was really awful, and I couldn't threaten anyone in the slightest. I'm disappointed in myself for training since Feb just to feel like I'm still fighting SkinreaperW back in CT. It's pathetic IMO. Edited November 2, 2012 by Star-Demon
Moy_X7 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Star-Demon, how about some games? Haven't played you in ages and I need to see some progress from you. On the other hand, I'm gonna have to see how fast I can catch up to you on AC+ as Dizzy lol.

Moy_X7 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Same, I just got home from work but that's no excuse lol.
Dont_Explain Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 GGs cookie. You kept pressing buttons as though I was trying to throw you like everytime I got close to you. I'm disappoint I didn't catch on until I stopped caring. In my head I was like "Bang doesn't even press this many buttons".....and then I played him and pressed a lot of buttons.
susano Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 GGs cookie. You kept pressing buttons as though I was trying to throw you like everytime I got close to you. I'm disappoint I didn't catch on until I stopped caring. In my head I was like "Bang doesn't even press this many buttons".....and then I played him and pressed a lot of buttons. Not gonna lie, that is such a terrible habit of mine and I need to work on that. If I had just stayed blocking, I'd be able to react to the grab fast enough. I always expect the grab to come so there are times where I react at the wrongest times. Either way, GGs-I was working on my spacing with Lambda. And GGs Star. I did see improvement in your Litchi too.
Starlight777 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 GGs to those that played with me until that weird ass lagspike happened. Is PSN being derptastic again? Anyone else got a room open?
Star-Demon Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 GGs Moy - I told you I was tired lol - it took me 4-5 matches to get used to playing you again. Platinum's TK swallow moon mixups are just unreactable online lol, especially when tired.
