Star, if you quit trying after every combo how are you expecting to learn?

I didn't do a single combos to anyone. I fucked everything up and I can't even defend myself against everyone's half-assed behavior in game. It's pathetic and it's why the community considers me a joke. I'm just not learning anything, it's frustrating to hell that I fuck everything up, and I hate it.

For a game that's supposed to be babeh's first GG I'm sure making a lot more progress and getting a lot more reward in GG with minimal practice than I have with this game in the two+ years I've played it with all the practice I try to do.

You're either too hard on yourself or you just love putting yourself down, man. I see that you've made some improvement (you're actually doing some combos now!), but the second you get hit you stop trying and sit in the corner and mash 5a, like you just stop caring. I join from time to time to see if you've gotten better and see if I could help & have fun, but you quit trying so quickly...

Nobody cares that you can't combo lol

If anyone thinks of you as a joke, which I don't think so, it's because you always get so melodramatic OH GOD THE WORLD IS GOING TO END I SUCK WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE AHHGURgdrorghseuhes

If the community considers you a joke it's only because of your unbelievably shitty attitude lol. I've never played you so I don't know how you play, but everyone starts off as a beginner, there's nothing wrong with that. Also... At first you gotta aim to IMPROVE and not just get wins. I never won 1 game against our local SF4 champion in my life but I don't think I suck at the game. I'm getting closer and closer and that's what counts!

Anyway I'm sure you've heard that a million times on these forums lol

I don't know. I just wish I could approach this game the way I approach Guilty Gear but I don't know why I can't. It's okay to lose in GG, but in BB every time I fuck something up it's like being punched in the gut for being a fucking moron.

Why is Guilty Gear the easy game?

I'm stepping out for the night. I have to clear my head and just try again tomorrow.

Star, just practice. seriously. take like a week dedicating to only practicing. start of with combos. practice each combo 10 times (if you drop it start the count over) i can pretty much vouch that i lost more times than i won (LOOKING AT YOU MOY).

but all we can do is talk.

YOU. HAVE. TO. DOOOO EEEET.

I did that all summer :( And that's what I do when I stream before I play. :(

I feel like I'm just doing the same 4-5 things and they works fine in the lab, but that's not how to play the game.

And God damn every time I try to do a corner combo and you mystery tech. I should have lots of time to do stuff but WTF. I'm the only one that has this problem...

When you stopped trying completely I could get it but it was blue. Is it just netplay or what?

Okay - serious. Logging off before I get myself infracted again.

That is in fact how to play the game. You learn little at a time. You have your pet moves, like they could be something cheesy like overhead on wakeup, or a certain blockstring. Work on those, apply them in matches (and don't give up mid-match), learn some new moves, etc.

Not even going to say a thing about this subject anymore. We've been at it for over a year now

Actually, Star, fuck practicing. Take a break, dude. Taking a week off is a pretty good way to unlearn bad habits.

And kirbster's right, the only thing people hate on you for is this self-deprecating attitude. You need to relax, seriously.

I remember being beaten 20x in a row by Moy and recently I played him and did much better even tho it was only 3 games that we had.

I'm past the level of losing to Moy 20x in a row now. Use overheads a lot

and star, I said it before but you really improved a lot from before. like 6 months ago, that is.

Seriously this.

It is a very bad look when this continues to happen and yet you're trying to make tutorials for beginners.

Star why can't you be like me and automatically get godlike at the game by not playing?

How about you be like Star and play me?

I think I could play some games. anyone?

You. Me. Tomorrow (unless you are one of those people who spend time with their family). I thought of a new anti Tsubaki gimmick I want to test.

Close family out of town. Extended family around, still going out for that but that's only going to be part of the day.

No.

I'm disappointed.
