Sadeyo Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Anyone want to go a few rounds tonight? I'll invite those who respond in the next half an hour, will do a 3 person room. found Tempest and Rock Vonutt (sp?) room. Tempest with a mouthful with his psn tag while rock is currently private. I'll text them later.
Yggjrasil Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 GGs to RockVolnuttX. That connection was pretty solid, I was impressed lol, I was actually able to do Plat combos in it.
toanenadiz Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 GGs Wander, KaizerBlack and the other people who joined his room. Hakumen combos are still ridiculous.
Wander Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 GGs to people who joined, i felt kind of scared when i was left with two lambda players in my room
Prester John Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Anybody willing to join me in team battle right now in Continuum Shift: Extend? I want to go for the team battle trophies (There's No "I" in Team, Plays Well With Others), but none of the rooms seem to be set up for team battle. So I set up my own room, but nobody wants to join (they leave as soon as they enter). The room I've created is named, "Team Battles," which I thought was pretty self-explanatory. I want to help other people get these trophies too, so let's help each other out. I'll keep the room open for a couple of hours, if anybody's interested. I would greatly appreciate it. (I don't know how else to get these trophies, if nobody else creates rooms for team battles.)
Moy_X7 Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 I'm gonna have to play you, Errol. Star, if you're going to keep on pulling that "I give up" crap, then I'm just not gonna bother playing you anymore.
Star-Demon Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 I'm gonna have to play you, Errol. Star, if you're going to keep on pulling that "I give up" crap, then I'm just not gonna bother playing you anymore. Sorry. It's just getting incredibly frustrating playing you when I can't do anything right against you anymore. I have absolutely nothing on you. It's fucking sad because Litchi vs jin is supposed to be almost free and you're just toying with me 100% and I just don't understand what to do.
Star-Demon Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 (edited) Look, I'm sorry, ok? I just don't know how to play your jin anymore. Edited November 24, 2012 by Star-Demon
kirbster Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 You know what, go watch some japanese Litchi vs Jin matches with Fio or something, I'm sure there are some. Watch what Fio does and try to figure WHY he does these things consistently instead of other doing options against Jin. You have enough knowledge of the game to undetstand the reasons behind his decisions... Now just copy what he's doing and you'll automatically gain better habits.
floatwater Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 you must be new to the GG thread kirbster (lol jk).
Star-Demon Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 (edited) You have enough knowledge of the game to undetstand the reasons behind his decisions... Now just copy what he's doing and you'll automatically gain better habits. Apparently I don't because Moy is perfecting me with only ice blades and j.C as his tools. :O You don't play like that unless you know your opponent has no clue how to play the game. There was a time this was a little different but it's clear I have no clue how to actually play if this is how everyone plays me. Anyways, I've done that shit you said, and even streamed myself doing that shit as proof (because nobody believes me). I look at videos and without the verbiage I could explain, I only ultimately see two things: 1. The opponents respect each other because they are both competent. When your opponent knows you are trash the match is in a fantasy land where things just aren't going to be normal. In good matches with good players they understand all of each others options and will literally winnow all of theirs down considerably. (How many times I've watched people playing shounen not do anything about some stuff he does that's perfectly punishable by any netplayer, but they are just so scared to do anything because they know he's the best - has nothing to do with knowledge there. They know Litchi's stuff.) Part of these games is having an AT field that narrows your opponents choices. 2. Those players have more reaction time, discipline, and talent than I do. I could understand on paper why they do things, but ultimately I don't, and if I did, translating that to 100% active play requires fast twitch skill, Good decision making, and good talent. I make constantly bad decisions, I guess wrong all the time, (and I should never be guessing), I just don't adapt to anything or can pay attention to everything. Then there's the constant fuckups, but there's practice for some of that. (Litchi, however, is all about confirming random hits to improvised combo pieces. She simply has too many rules and too strict moves to do otherwise. It's just going to take me a laughably long time to develop those things) So in total: You can't just copycat - it didn't do any good for me in GG, it's not doing me good in BB, either. There's simply too much that goes into either player, into a match. it takes real mental discipline and talent to eliminate habits and start making decisions that are actually about playing the game correctly, building up a rep that makes people respect what you do, and then constructing a proper game that you can play. Until all that happens you can't have a proper match anywhere's close to competitive level. Edited November 24, 2012 by Star-Demon
Moy_X7 Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 GGs Errol, I might upload some of those Jin vs Tsubaki matches. Specially the one where you do that swag 6.9K Dive loop combo lol. Err... Ice Blades and j.C are zoning tools, those which need to be used substantially during neutral. Not once was I trying to "toy" with you. As far as Astrals go, I Astral anyone at every chance I get. Ask Errol, true story breh.
Errol Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Moy, you blocked way too many overheads today. I could've won a few more matches.. And yeah he astraled me like 5 times today.
floatwater Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 thus you learn when he has 100 heat, and has a burst. and you have enough health to get comboe'd into Astral, you just take. unless you're me :D
