psycofang2 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 you are now my favorite tsubaki player. welcome to th team. fck errbody else hthough. they just suck
TD Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 That's true for any character though. in a general sense yes, but fighting hakumen isn't a general occurence, because his defensive capabilities are unmatched compared to the rest of the cast. he can counter attacks at angles and in ways no other character can. it's basically the same point you haku players make all the time, in that the things the player relies on most to win against most other characters suddenly fails or is just rps against haku.
mAc Chaos Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Of course. That's what I'm getting at, every character has their own quirks that make you have to play differently. Try rushing down against Tager, etc.
Moy_X7 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 (edited) Alright, I'm about ready for some games. My pad miraculously fixed itself through more tear and wear, so no more dropped combos. Edit: lol, Psyco is playing God knows what and Errol is offline. Screw you guys, I'm just gonna go back to RE6 :D Edited January 5, 2013 by Moy_X7
Mucky Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Of course. That's what I'm getting at, every character has their own quirks that make you have to play differently. Try rushing down against Tager, etc. i rush down tager all day every day
psycofang2 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 (edited) , in that the things the player relies on most to win against most other characters suddenly fails or is just rps against haku. this right hereis WHY people lose to hakumen, alot of instances they are so used todoing the same thing to the est of the cast it become singrained in their muscle memory to simply do it always. then haku comes along and destroys that world view, the typical player almost instantly runs out of ideas on how to fight hakumen. like king for ex (sorry man) he used VERY unsafe things during pressure, things that got him countered, he didnt know what to do, he was used to doing it to everyone else. i fought him more and gave him small advice, typically to tighten his block strings and dont become stagnant with his approaches, something alot of players do without thinking. after that he could take rounds off me a little more consisttently because he varied his approaches with things i havent seen before or wasnt sure about so i used drive less and less and used my normals more and more. his approach and creativity grew from that situation, this is what i feel all players hould strive for, but intead they complain and refuse to change how they play. hakumen is a chore to fight because he forces you ouside your comfort zone and into an area of combat you probably arent familiar with. thats a good thing. trust me , i didnt unerstand how people felt until i used various other subs vs hakumen, but by that point i also understood i had to adapt to hakumen, the player and myself and my habits. if i got D'd id blame myself for being unsafe or not seeing it coming. it teaches you a valuable lesson alot of other characters wish they could teach. also MOY IM PLAYING THE BEST RPG EVER FUCK YOU. invite whenever. Moy_X7 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 also MOY IM PLAYING THE BEST RPG EVER FUCK YOU. invite whenever. Sorry mang, I already plugged my PS3 back into the Bravia. I should really get one of those HDMI switches, it's a pain in the ass to manually connect and disconnect the HDMI cables from my ASUS and my Bravia. Then I have to change the sound settings from my PS3 sound system to my PCsound system. Then I have to go into BB options and change the display types so that thing don't get cut-off and to get rid of black bars. Just thinking about it is making me cringe, we'll just have to play some other night lol. Edit: lol Errol, we'll just have to play some other night, sorry if I upset you <3
psycofang2 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 the fuck moy you arent even on. EDIT: ok just make sure you send me an invite no matter what im playing. ;~;

Errol Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Edit: lol Errol, we'll just have to play some other night, sorry if I upset you <3 What I understand is that Moy thinks we've reached the point where we can communicate without words. <3 Not upset

This whole manual switching thing gets extremely tedious. @Psyco - I thought it was common knowledge to not send game requests to people playing other games. For example, if someone sends me a match request in one game when I'm playing another, there's a high chance that I won't join your game for the reasons mentioned in my previous post. I have to choose between comfort and visuals or minimum input lag. I'm an extremely lazy person. My bed faces my 50" Bravia behemoth and my ASUS doubles as my desktop monitor. So I just lay down on my bed and play games. If I'm already laying down and playing games, I'm not getting up to get the game out and switch the HDMI cables, Sloth SIN.

Moy_X7 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Well now you guys are making me feel bad, so I'll make an exception and do the whole manual switching thing, just for you two lol. I'll only do a FT5 with you cuz I'm getting sleepy and then I'll do an FT5 with Errol afterwards and go to sleep. Set the matches to two out of three and make a room pls. I'll be there in a few.
