I actually wouldn't be playing. If you are lagging bad with everyone then you would have to leave unfortunately, but so long as you have a "playable" connection then you can stay for as long as you wish.

Can you make it opened to europeans too next time ?

I know 0 bar seems scary, but in this game, if it's due to distance and not to bad connexion, it is more than fairly acceptable and playable (it has the best netcode of the generation in terms of fighting game).
