mAc Chaos Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 You don't want to mash it, but you want to take advantage of her drives to keep your opponent on their toes so they don't start getting too aggressive. If they go for something risky and eat a 2D they'll back off next time and give you more breathing room.
Litherain-XIII Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 yeah i know all the hitting drives on wake up stuff. thing is when that happens its usually a move that beats either 4D/2D option in general or beats 4D clean every time when i do decide to "throw it out". which leaves me to not throwing the drives out as often and blocking more often than usual otherwise.
skd Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Err... I don't think you're supposed to "run up 2D" on people. What you do is mash that shit during people's pressure or on wake-up. If they used a low and you mashed 2D then you fuck them up for 3K+. If they used an overhead and you were mashing 4D then you fuck them up for 4K+. If they try to throw you then you fuck them up either way. Also, mash the shit out of 4D on people's jump ins. It's their own damn fault if they get hit by something that obvious lol. run up 2D is a crossup, its legit /former noel god

Mixups has always been a weakness of mine, despite knowing how to combo and my blocking could use some work (chicken blocking is bad). What's the main thing people have noticed in my playstyle?

You auto-pilot a lot. I can deal with your mix-up because I already know what you are going to do. Everyone here will tell you that I don't tech throws, yet I have been able to tech 99% of your throws (especially since you love to do 2A->dash throw midscreen).

I've been trying very hard to break it. I suppose I can work on it this week.

Kinda like how I keep using 6C even though I know it gets too predictable to use. Or dash/2a, like Toan said. Or overusing 6b. -sigh- Learning BB is like a thesis paper. Just when you think you're done, you have more to learn. this game isn't at all REALLY hard to learn it's just more to outsmarting your opponent and shit. at least that's the case with me. ALSO it's all about momentum, you have to keep your momentum with the character you play

I also need to be more confident in my character's abilities. I'm using powerful ass zoners. I need to show people who's boss.
