But IMO it's in Ragna's favor because his neutral game is way better than Tager's. The new j.C hitbox is really nuts. Every attempt to 2A it either traded or lost outright. And 2C doesn't work without a read because the invul comes late. Tager can disrespect pressure but you always end your strings with either 3C > hjc or a far away dead spike. Not giving me much to work with. Also, burger king combos. 6-7k damage off a random hit = FUCK SCIENCE. as far as winner goes to the first hit, you'll notice more and more of that the higher you get in play. That could be said about any match up where the player are comfortable enough not to mess up. Also, ragna's neutral is strong with good footies, but your not utilizing 5C in the mid game enough. you also throwing away 4k with 2Ds out of desperation/anxiety because the presence of a ragna that knows spacing is never racking. Also take into consideration how many times 5A beat it out. :I you don't need 6 answers before you have a game plan on how to deal with something, you just need one. and everytime i hear about the buff on j.C being a game changer when everyones anti airs got nerfed like ragna's some type of mirical baby, it didn't get any faster, and the extended hit box that comes out before it still get's bodied by 5As like litchi,haz,ragna,tager and notice how every other character has either a reversal, or 6A anti air capable or dealing with it or what comes after it. and while i was controlling your options, and hit comfirming into some pretty big damage for lulz. you weren't bursting the bks, the meter combos, the set ups. looks at akira vs. sakamoto and then tell me if you think the match up's in ragna's favor. the nigga only has 10k of health. tager: 3 360B, 2 720s , 3 atomic colider combos, 3 2C anti air combos, 2 4D counter hit combos + I jump trap combo while magnetize. ragna: 3 success full mix ups that require a crouching confirms, 3 and a half standing counter hit comfirms to get close enough to do the j.B loops, 2 full bk combos? and keep in mind that while my damage remains burstable, yours does not. just keep it simple and 360, your thinking to hard. and as you can see, with axis being my grand finals rival for 3 years straight, i had a LOT of experience in this match up. and Jan is a pretty ridiculously good grappler user as well and when he calls me a smart player and that i'm playing the match up perfect with little room for him to do anything? i'm not even gonna lie, i was feeling my self that day. xD Yea, Ragna is pretty ridiculous. You really don't want Ragna to get his damage off his safe stuff because you only get good damage off punishing his risky shit. Playing against The world named Ragna taught me this. Also I believe Leo DP's way smarter than he has in previous games. Really fucking gay.

I used to do it because it was either block or get bent. not tager can back dash it, there's all there clash set ups and shit. fuck that, i'll just learn to block or wait for a IB dp that would punish a person not doing something after it. like 2B > anything from ragna up close.

Although it is true, 5a is a very strong weapon against J.C, 5a it is not always the answer. When spaced correctly it does actually become more of a threat. the nigga only has 10k of health. The reason why Ragna is not as ridiculous as people think he is in fact, once you better understand the match up you'll realize how ghetto his pressure really is and how easy it is to avoid said damage. You just gotta be on top of your game is all because if you do fuck up you take quite a bit of damage. Sure, his dp is retarded, too, but it just means you can't be as reckless with your pressure. Also, generally Ragnas dp in the same spot so as you play a specific Ragna more it is a lot easier to understand where they will and then pretty much no matter who you are you acquire big ass damage. If he's got meter there are ways to make it whiff, and even if you block it and the situation is reversed, like I said before, his pressure is ghetto. lol All in all, I do think Ragna is a very, very strong character now, but overall he's not as stupid as people think he is. Well, if he isn't dping then thats your que to do some unsafe blockstrings until he inevitably does. You should probably be able to get off some damage before then though. What character do you play?

It was nice to play for a few hours again, and I think I found out what I want to do after getting some healthy amount of game-play in. I'll be learning Makoto from here on out. I'll continue to play around with Baki, but I'll be adopting Makoto as my main. At least I've managed to reach a decision on this... (Next week it'll change, watch)

I can tell when the uncle started streaming movies in the middle of me playing. I was trying a different approach against Tager and it didn't work well.
