SoWL Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 The only things I can see there are Johnny's nail-shooting and Jonathan's ZOOM PUNCH! Though seeing Jonathan being his good old self rather than the abomination that Araki's new style made of him is great, too.
SoWL Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Better quality of the scan: Now I can see all kinds of good stuff, like Zeppeli's gut punch, the frog punch, NANI WO SURU DAA and the Luck-Pluck swing. Also, I think the stage there is the one where they fought Tarkus.
SoWL Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Another scan, with more Johnathans: You can see two new stages there: the Joestar Mansion and the SBR course (still haven't finished that, so not sure where it is).
Pete278 Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Yo check out my crossposting skills: I know its a bit late by now, given we now have three new character reveals and the trailer was a month ago, but nonetheless, dogyaa~n: http://www.frametrap.net/2013/01/jojos-asb-jump-festa-trailer-subbed.html
Jugun Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 (edited) Good job Pete278,you got the fonts too!,and I can't wait to use that Tusk 4!,Out of all the Jojo's,Johnny story was very interesting because he was written to be a douche bag that you'll grown to love as he grows as a character, high contrast to Johnathan's personality which set the tone for the alt reality of part 7. SoWL Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Apparently, some surprise announcement is going to be made on the CC2 event that's going to take place on February, 16th: http://www.famitsu.com/news/201302/04028231.html I don't think it's about the latest reveals (I'm still waiting for Famitsu to cover them), so maybe a release date?
MikelAL93 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I can't wait to unleash some ripple powers with Jonathan and stand powers with Dio. I also hope that an English release will be considered.
Chainsaw Guitar Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Gotta say, that's pretty convenient that the few characters I'm familiar with seem to have a play style I'm most comfortable with (keep away) Main: Jonathan Sub: Wham, if only for that HOLY WUBSTORM
SoWL Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I can't wait to play as Dio, Dio or Dio That's not how it works. It's Dio, DIO and Diego. Main: Jonathan Sub: Wham, if only for that HOLY WUBSTORM After his debut in the anime, I feel like maining Wham, too, even though he wasn't that high on my list first.
Jugun Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Joseph and Gio for me,maybe Johnny, but I gotta see his playstyle
SoWL Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 (edited) The Famitsu article that covers the latest announcements is finally here! http://www.famitsu.com/news/201302/07028257.html Have some translations, though the SBR parts should be double-checked. Jonathan Joestar Style: Ripple - The protagonist of part 1. Raised by a strict, but kind father, he is a young man who has grown to be a good-willed gentleman, strong in body and spirit. After Dio, an adopted son of the Joestar family, becomes a vampire to embrace his evil ambitions, Jonathan meets Will A. Zeppeli, a master of "Sendo (Ripple)". To defeat Dio, Jonathan becomes Zeppeli's apprentice and masters the Ripple. Taunt - Jonathan taunts by striking a pose with his right fist clenched. Special Attack: Zoom Punch - Jonathan disjoints his arm and strikes the enemy from afar. The pain is relieved by the Ripple! Special Attack: Sword of Luck and Pluck - Jonathan strikes thrice with the sword of good luck and courage he inherited from Bruford Heart Heat Attack: You're about to learn who will lose in the very end! - A punch with the Ripple with both hands lit on fire! Great Heat Attack: Sunlight Yellow Overdrive - Jonathan channels the energy with the special breathing technique, and then strikes the opponent! Will A. Zeppeli Style: Ripple - A character featured in part 1. The person who taught Jonathan the breathing technique of the Ripple. He is the guru of the hidden art of releasing the energy stored in blood. Since this breathing produces the same energy as the Sun, it can be used to kill vampires, who are known to be weak to sunlight. Heart Heat Attack: This is "Sendo"! - After knocking the enemy down, Zeppeli performs a downward punch. Great Heat Attack: Ripple of the Sun! Sunlight Yellow Overdrive! - All the ripples of the body are channeled through the fist, damagin the opponent with powerful electric current! Johnny Joestar Style: Horseback (Stand name: Tusk) - The protagonist of part 7. He was once a star horseracer, but got into an accident and became paraplegic. After that, he had a life of regret and disappointment. But at the starting point of the cross-continental race "Steel Ball Run", he meets Gyro Zeppeli. He glimpses the mystery of "The Spin" of Gyro's "Steel Balls", which make him move his legs, and discovers the will to live once again. He decides to take part in the race on the horse named Slow Dancer to learn of Gyro's secret. Tusk makes its appearance with all its four Acts! - Johnny gets his Stand, Tusk, after interacting with the "Corpse part" of "The Saint". It allows him to rapidly spin his own fingernails, shooting them like bullets or cutting through objects. As Johnny learns more about "The Spin" from Gyro, Tusk evolves from Act 1 to Act 4. Naturally, the game, too, features all four Acts of Tusk. Great Heat Attack: Its truly, truly a roundabout path... - Johnny charges forward on horseback, then fires the fingernail with the "Infinite Spin" from his pinky. New stages: Part 1: Dio's Mansion - The hall that became the stage of mortal combat between Jonathan and Dio! Part 7: The President Fight Coast - A coast with fantastic view. If you look closely, you can see Lucy and a train. Too bad that the part 1 stage is not the Joestar mansion. And man, Johnny actually does crawl around the stage, calling the horse instead of activating Tusk! Edited February 6, 2013 by SoWL

MikelAL93 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 (edited) Looks like I do have interest in picking up Jonathan alongside Dio after all. Thanks a bunch for the translations, SoWL! The Famitsu article that covers the latest announcements is finally here! http://www.famitsu.com/news/201302/07028257.html Have some translations, though the SBR parts should be double-checked. I guess I will make a correction in regards to part 1, considering that I've watched all nine episodes of the anime that focus on Phantom Blood: "Sendo" is actually "Hamon", which is the word they use for "Ripple" in the Japanese versions of JJBA. Final Ultima Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I guess I will make a correction in regards to part 1, considering that I've watched all nine episodes of the anime that focus on Phantom Blood: "Sendo" is actually "Hamon", which is the word they use for "Ripple" in the Japanese versions of JJBA.Not exactly. Sendo (or Hsien-tao if you prefer) is written as 仙道 and means "Way of the Hermit". In the context of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, it refers to the art of using Hamon (波紋, literally "ripple"), hence Zeppeli's line "The energy of ripples is the power of Sendo". Jonathan does, after all, have an attack called Sendo Hamon Overdrive, and I'm pretty sure he's not saying it to be redundant.
SoWL Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I guess I will make a correction in regards to part 1, considering that I've watched all nine episodes of the anime that focus on Phantom Blood: "Sendo" is actually "Hamon", which is the word they use for "Ripple" in the Japanese versions of JJBA. Basically, Sendo is the old-school name of Hamon that only Zeppeli and the Tibetan monks use. You can rewatch episode 4 (the frog scene) and listen to the dialogue: you'll hear both Sendo and Hamon from Zeppeli.
SoWL Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 (edited) Oh boy, this one's big. http://108.imagebam.com/download/d-hUxszNB0NBcoNWx7zRMg/23708/237070579/www.dotup.org3942342.jpg To sum up all the stuff going on in such small space: - Gappy is playable, hooray! His voice is unknown for now, though. The JoJoLion version of Duwang will be a stage, too. - The JP release date is 29th of August, 2013. - The game is going to be available in two versions: the regular one (worth 7980 JPY) and the limited edition (worth more than twice more, 16980 JPY). The latter is going to include a figure of Jotaro with Star Platinum, a golden plate with Araki's artwork, and a soundtrack CD (shaped like a Star Platinum disc made by White Snake). - The first print run is going to include some goodies too, namely a note book shaped like Hayato Kawajiri's head affected by Heaven's Door and... a DLC code for Yoshikage Kira! - Wait, what, Kira's a DLC character? Goddamn you, CC2! Edited February 13, 2013 by SoWL
xlolxlolx Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 NGHHHHH 6 and a half months............this is gonna be suffer
Pete278 Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 'Probably'? Isn't that Jojolion Morioh in the picture with a Wall Eye and Yasuho to the right of Jousuke?
SoWL Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Yeah, I thought it was taken from the manga for some reason.
Jugun Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 http://www.siliconera.com/2013/02/13/jojos-bizarre-adventure-all-star-battle-set-for-august-jojolion-playable/ I'm betting my soul for the money to get the SPE,D'ARBY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SoWL Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 So, about that Saturday event. Apparently, it's going to be 7 hours long, and all the JoJos are going to be playable there (except for Gappy). Then again, it will only allow 150 people to be in, so I'm not sure whether or not we're going to get any vids. http://www.bandaigames.channel.or.jp/list/naruto_storm3/event/jojo.html
