Though I am glad they finally showed Jolyne's gameplay. Ahhh she looks really fun.

EDIT: I wasn't paying close attention, but is Giorno still voiced by Romi Park like in the PS2 part 5 game?

New Trailer is really cool. Seeing Dio, from what I could guess, his specials using the stand to teleport look like they all......track the opponent? Looks pretty cheap. lol It's like CC2 looked at Capcom's game and said "Dio's 623X(stand on) is gonna be amazing now." Jolyne/Hermes both look interesting. Can't wait to play them. I'm personally waiting for Johnny to be shown as well. Lastly, is anyone else paying attention to the music? Ever since trailer 2, I can't help but like it. The chara/stage theme played during the arc titles in the new trailer are catchy. I especially liked Stone Ocean Theme. It sounds ominous.

Ok, I still don't know jack squat about this series, but like that trailer was really getting my blood pumping + w+

And like after HEARING it, I'm completely obligated to play the chick who has Baiken's seiyuu ; w;

Can't blame you, Hermes-aniki is the manliest character of her arc. I'm tempted to main her, too, though Okuyasu and Wham are pretty good, too.

As for Weather, he's the stage hazard (with all the frogs and rainbows and stuff), so I'd say that he won't be playable. Then again, DIO is the hazard of Cairo, so everything is possible.

Now's a good time to fix that since the anime adaptation is pretty sweet. Right now all I can look forward to is seeing Jonathan and some other part 1 character(s) to be revealed.

Pretty sure Kyosuke is gonna be some sort of grappler, plus there are some other characters for whom it could make sense.

I'm not seeing Old Joseph returning. His stand was kinda trash and wasn't much use in a fight, especially considering some of the rules of stand fighting. In the capcom game they really stretched his abilities, but I really wish they'd keep him as an observer/story character more than a fighter, like Rohan.

On a more general note I'm dying inside each day I'm not getting news about this game. I just want this so bad. I've been waiting for something like this for years. The capcom game was great but it didn't have the wealth of characters this is going to have.

Uhh, you mean Josuke? I honestly don't know what makes you think of him as a grappler. Even Okuyasu would make more sense.

Koyasu as Dio is the miracle of the universe.

I love him in the animu, and Im gonna love him in the game too. I'm gonna be maining young Joeseph though.

Part 1 dio is cool, but with Hermes, Jolyne, Giorno, and Okuyasu I probably have more than enough characters to mess around with now :3

The Capcom game didn't really stretch his abilities that much, if at all. He was shown to be able to conduct the ripple through Hermit Purple and extend it, and that's basically his whole move set in the game. He didn't even get the Spidey Swing he uses.

I also don't see Okuyasu being a grappler. He could definitely get a command grab, but I don't see how he could have a focus other than his stand power

His stand power is getting close to people by nullifying distance, which suits a grappler. Not to mention he's canon impossible to block/contain at short range, due to the nature of his attack, so him being a close quarter powerhouse with short range but the ability to close it down with his specials naturally ties in with the role of a grappler in game.

In-universe, Hermit Purple is weak as shit. No way Joseph would ever be able to grapple anything stronger than Nena's stand with it. And considering only stands can hurt other stands theoretically, Joseph is defenseless in a real stand battle. Which doesn't matter in the context of a fighting game, but that's still making a big stretch on his actual fighting abilities.

You should tell ASW that a grappler should be able to close distance rapidly, maybe we'll get one with an air dash. His stand power would be an unblockable rather than a command grab, really, but the difference isn't that big I suppose, to the point they're the same thing in kof13.

Joseph lifts himself up pretty easily while he's running from Dio by doing his spider-man impression, I don't think its a stretch to say he could lift others up and ripple them. Maybe not particularly heavy people, but I think they could stretch it for a fighting game.
