I just play normal Labby in mirrors. Well you got her crouch jabs and you have her J.B as mixup tools. The guy used plenty of that and I was too. It was just some little crossup things that made the matches fun.

TransientFaith Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Considering the data does not include special information (only notes pertaining to the values listed), it's possible that axe level has a generic hitsun scaler/modifier.
Tari Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 The hitstun difference for axe levels is some sort of special property. The blockstun doesn't vary between axe levels, after all. I'm more or less entertained that Labrys' most active normal is 2A.

Counterhits do more damage than regular hits. I believe it's 20%, and the value changes for some moves. Fuck your j.B. That is all. j.B da online gawd, cannot be antiaired. Also the BI link is much easier to do since it requires specific setups that are much easier than 236236C link after air combo (and often 236236C combos from the ground are weak in general) No BI combos are "optimal" in the sense that they require either charge 5B corner hit, OMB, or 25 meter to set up and an additional 50 meter for the super itself. Oh and the awakening requirement doesn't help. TBH: I've never used a BI combo in any match. Getting awakening AND red axe is kind of ridiculous. Usually when I have red axe, they die before i can finish the combo should I go into awakening. Usually when I'm in awakening, I'm in green axe and can't afford the reset after getting red axe.

Tecta1Eastside Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 (edited) my labrys match up verdicts imo. this forum dead labrys vs yu 4.0-4.5 yu favor. normals are better faster, aka yu 5b and his persona oki stupid along with real block strings, etc make him hard to deal with. labrys vs chie 5.0 even. her 5d oki can be backstep, chie has high damage output but no range. chie has ok dp labrys vs yosuke. 4.0-4.5 yosuke favor. he can run all day draing your red and yellow axe meter, normals are too good, has answers for lab 2b, jb. labs must be patient labrys vs yukiko 5.0 even. yukiko has no real anti air, fans and persona zoning are annoying but upclose labs is fine. break yukiko persona labrys vs teddie 4.0-4.5 teddie favor. teddie 5b is too good, jump ins are good. when he sets up his crap on the screen its hard to get to him. labrys vs kanji 5.0 even. i hate this mu cuz its just one giant guessing game and every kanji is differerent. IB kanji helps alot though labrys vs naoto 4.0-4.5 naoto favor. getting zoned sucks, smp loops must be avoided at all cost, naoto anti air bad, she dies quick labrys vs akihiko 5.0 even. has no range, Caesar can rape u if you hit the b button too much. IB Caeser to punish akihiko. his 2b beats jb. aki has high damage labrys vs Aigis 4.0 Aigis wins. orgia mode broken. has a risky but ok dp. no range and her 2b has flaws. she's ok without orgia mode labrys vs Mitsuru 4.0 Mitsuru wins. ours 5a are about even but she's safe and has better oki. her damage output is overall better+easier to get labrys vs shadow labrys 5.0 even. break s.labs persona, she dies real easily, will zone you with 2c, avoid slab. vertex, labs will be blocking alot labrys vs Elizabeth 4.0-4.5. liz wins. labs gets zoned, must beat her yomi game, can still keep you out with her jb 5b. labs jb vs liz 2b is 50/50 labrys vs labrys 10-0 Labrys wins either. its just a dumb street fighter alpha match up. Im off on the chie matchup I think but im right on the others imo. chie is supposed to be considered bad for labrys maybe but I dont know what makes it bad really. So i said its even. redsilversnake Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Chie definitely has an advantage against Labrys. Her normals do have shorter reach on average, but they're also generally better, making it even harder for Labrys than usual at footsies. Yukiko also has an advantage because Labrys has no real answer to zoning. She does have 236AB, but it's unidirectional and the risk-reward ratio is usually skewed more towards risk. Naoto, I wouldn't really say has that much of an advantage over Labrys. Her zoning isn't really that strong, making it much easier to get in on her than Yukiko. Plus, she has low health (which is obviously bad against Labrys), few ways to get good damage without an SMP loop, and, AFAIK, her setups and resets tend to be either gimmicky or predictable. She does tend to do better at air-to-air against Labrys, but that's one of her few real advantages. Shadow Labrys' Persona does get broken easier than any other character's, but as long as she has it and isn't on the defensive, she's in control more often than Labrys is. She has much better space control, actual oki, etc. She isn't one of the worst MUs, but she does give Labrys more of a challenge than some.

I don't agree with those for various reasons, but we are all entitled our opinions. Red addressed chie and 5c is stupid. Kanji has an advantage in this matchup. Not a big one though, just stupidity pretty much. If he's in you have to guess. He can D grab you out of Sharin super (because he needs a meterless punish for your only decent reversal). His damage (although capped at around 5-6k) is about even with you percentage-wise (your peak 6-8k) due to his high health Akihiko has slight advantage, but I'm biased. Everybody's 2B beats Labrys's j.B depending on timing/spacing. 2C Caesar cannot be punished even on instant block, even less so if he has wind gauge Mitsuru is just annoying. Her 5A is better than ours because it has more range and both have bad recovery, but very hard for lab to punish Mitsuru whiff 5a Liz should be 5:5, you just seem pretty biased towards zoners... she only has 1-2 yomi setups anyways. 90% of her blockstring mixup can be and should be dealt with via reactions To each their own. I don't see labrys having any good matchups, but all her matchups are winnable so I'm not complaining as much anymore
excelence Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Very winnable if you can make your opponent respect your option Teddy 5b isn't really good actually, iad/roll in can get through and punish his 5b easily, what makes this fight hard is his mobility + garbage setup and j.a, Labrys need to be very patient on this match up, having a health lead also means a lot on this match up. Liz ... not sure, and her 2b isn't as good as other character imo, once u get through Thanatos, she's done.
