I've noticed from the few times I played online, people tend to skip the intros completely and the rounds just lag to all hell

And I know people have complained about this before, but I still don't get how this ranking system works. I lose a bunch of matches in a row, multiple of which are to people within one rank of me, and then I get a rank up battle and happen to win it. So, I go 1-5 or so and rank up on the one win. Strange. Well, not like the ranking system means much anyway I guess. I'm just curious.

c- through a+ = win 3 in a row vs + or - 1 of your rank (so if you're c, you can rank battle vs c-, c and c+, not b-)

s and above = win 5 in a row vs + or -1 of your rank

if you play someone outside of +/- 1, it doesnt count as a rank battle, it only affects your psr
