Well, unlimited characters are only available to the bosses...so hm. Can the bosses even OD?

Uh, but the bosses aren't Unlimited. At least not in the traditional sense of what unlimited characters were, which was super overpowered versions of the characters which may or may not have moves unavailable to the normal versions or even play entirely differently from the normal versions (like how Unlimited Makoto plays like Dudley). From what I've watched in streams and such, bosses as they are fought in arcade mode in CP are just faster and have OD always being max length regardless of health left. Arcade mode bosses don't even have the unlimited portraits we're seeing in the screenshots (see the Shoryuken article), which have darkened shading and glowing eyes.

Can't wait for Unlimited Overdrive Mugen Hakumen.

Also I like how the artwork for the Unlimited forms is going to have that small change in detail (like a hole in Arakune's mask turning red and that purple aura) that makes sure you know you're screwed.

I'm more interested in seeing Unlimited Azrael.

Jacket Kick causes the screen to explode. Blackhawk Stinger probably knocks your character into the next arcade machine.

Can't wait to see which Unlimited Form becomes Mu-12 level broken this time around. On the bright side, perhaps we'll finally get a good listen of Black Onslaught II or Endless Despair II.

Jacket Kick causes the screen to explode. Blackhawk Stinger probably knocks your character into the next arcade machine.

Patriot Apocalypse will cause the cabinet to be launched sky high and explode. If he did it while Overdrive'd, the whole arcade explodes.

Though I will predict that Unl. Azrael is etiehr will be more broken than SNK bosses or suprisingly weak as a joke.

Awesome, it looks like Survival Mode is making a return as well. I hope that means Abyss Mode will be making a return in the console version of CP too.

Some interesting stuff here from arcsys about the PS4 but there is one paragraph in particular which hints at two characters, I'm only going on google translate here so I'm hoping someone who is slightly better can confirm something, heres the paragraph

This part of the interview is quite interesting.

具体的なタイトル名などはまだ出せませんが、やりたいと思っています。ウチはFTGのゲームメーカーなので、FTGを出したいですね。『BLAZBLUE』『ギルティギア』に続く第3の軸として、新しいタイトルを作りたいです。実は『ギルティギア』はドリームキャストに向けて作っていましたし、『BLAZBLUE』もPS3が出るくらいの頃に作り始めていました。ですので、今度PS4が出るならそれに向けたタイトルを作ろうと。時代のターニングポイントで新しいものを出す、というのがアークシステムワークスですので、攻めていきたいですね。

Mori says here they are planning a new fighting game series for the PS4, pointing that they make new series when a new machine is coming out(GG for dreamcast and BB for PS3).

I feel the same way about BB ... but we both know that wont happen -- I just hope it brings the best of both (and mecha musume~)

Currently watching the Unlimited Mars vids. All old characters seem to have the same shit they had from EX with a few alterations and new DDs. Also all their Overdrives last as long as Lv. 3 X-Factor, or longer.

U. Noel

-More freezes allowed in combos?

-New move?: Makes 3 Arakune heads appear from the top of the screen like a crane game

-Super Crash moves him further forward?

-Steel Rain tracks opponent and rains a fuckton of nails, may be able to do as many as he wants even without nails, has the same cost

-New Move: Now has Chipp's Find Me (Invisibility).

-236C may be faster

-Kaka-kaze (Kitty Bomb) may take less time to explode?

When i saw the animation after reading this, it made me think of Ken's and Raoh's Musou Tensei super in HNK that make you able to parry 7 times.

-Not sure what you mean about his "HNK combos being back", his Valiant combos are still around and still look the same except for the fact that he's much faster so it allows for more "regular" attacks to land in-between the Valiant Charger moves (the ones with the dashes).

-All his drive attacks automatically have weakpoint properties, so there's no weakpoints ever actually shown. Basically both weakpoints are permanently applied but not visible.

For Bang:

-That "super crash" move was already in the other games Unlimited form.

-Steel Rain seems to cost 1 nail less to my knowledge, I'm almost positive it costs 4 nails regularly, but it looked like it cost 3 in unlimited form.

-It looked like he was able to "cancel" 2D into something, whatever it was that's new.

-His air command throw seemed to have forward momentum like his ground one, not sure if it was like that in Extend so that could be new.
