Do you mean emerald rain or winger? I don't think either are useless. But I do think that Millia was freakin' awesome!

There was nothing visibly weird to me near 49 seconds. I saw what you were talking about, but it didn't look off.

He lost momentum from his backwards jump then fell straight down really fast.

IIRC Sol's jD FDC causes some change in his momentum. That's about all I can think of.

From the look of it, it was just a simple backdash cancel with a normal.. I couldn't tell anything different from looking at the video. :toot:

Crap, she ended up losing the 3rd round at the last character. :kitty: Also, isn't OCC = One Character Comeback? Edit the 2nd: Last vid at the bottom is a vid showing a Dizzy getting like a 6-win streak against various characters (seems to be the same person). Yar, I'm just downloading random vids; this is my 2nd one, lol.

Domii makes Anji look beastly. Lol. Altho I think Buppa could've 222H'D him at the end of the match and won right then.

probably not, anji is one of those who has the highest 'guts rating' (or whatever it's called) the lightning would do minimal dmg to him.

Domii just has a playstyle that fits anji very well, in that he takes a lot of risks at an opportune time. Even going back to SBO 2k6 you can start to notice that a lot of his wins come when he throws a lot of high risk moves (hs fuujin, kick stop in unsafe situations, etc) and the big payoff comes forth. Not taking anything away from him, the dude is amazing, but to me it just shows that Anji has to play a risky game to be successful, especially in AC.

In the Ko-hatsu match, at 7:36, Eddie's air recovery voice comes out, but he was ground FDing the whole time up til the FB butterfly hit him. Was that just a "random" glitch?

sol did not FDC anything in that video. except for run animations. in otherwords FD stopping.

Except he does air backdash slash MULTIPLE TIMES during the vid (in fact he does so right before at ~47 seconds, which is probably what you are referencing) but in only one instance does he lose momentum and fall straight down. And in the instance where that happens, he double jumps backwards into jS and then suddenly loses all of his backwards momentum and drops straight to the floor. The fact that he double jumped rules out air backdash trickery. Watch the vid at ~50-51 seconds and watch Sol right after the peak of his double jump and you'll see the change in momentum that I'm talking about. The thing that really gets me though, is that he does double jump back jS AGAIN a few times during the match and the air-pause effect doesn't happen in those instances. So there's something else going on. I wouldn't think much of it except Sol literally STOPS for a split second... but this isn't, jump -> peak -> hang-time -> fall, this is jump -> peak -> fall -> mid-air pause -> fall fast... and while I would chalk that up to silly encoding, he ALSO stops all backwards movement and just drops to straight to the ground. Couple that with the jS animation cutting off early 'cuz Sol lands in the middle of it and you've got all kinds of stuff to sift through to figure out what's going on. Further adding to the mess is that Sol doesn't have a burst when he pulls this, which would make jD FDC a lot more feasible. If you want to explain it away as air backdash stuff, explain how Sol is air backdashing after a double jump.

The pause doesn't occur at the top of his jump. It happens just before he is about to Slash. It's during the double jump at the 0:50-0:51 mark. There is an EXTRMELY miniscule(like 1-2F) pauseish thing.

ok just incase you did see something i watched it three more times. but theres nothing there. so just come to houston if your not here, bring your laptop and show me what i do not see. im telling you theres nothing special here tekai "thought" he saw something and now everyone "thinks" they saw something.

I wish i had my capture card, i could just show you what you think you are seeing, its the distance between the ground and where he is in the air when he does the backdash slash that is confusing you i think, i use the same thing in the corrner and cancel the slash into a FRC BR for a tricky triple jump of sorts.

Yeah when I saw the video all I saw was him hitting slash right before he hits the ground. It didn't look special to me...
