I suppose that makes sense. I'd rather have some characters more broken than others instead of a few broken ones and everyone else balanced. So pretty much, any character can be a little bit cheaper now..some just to a higher degree I guess. Just my two cents. <3 :angel:

It seemed like from day one they wanted to bring some of the crazy stuff back.

Jam stilll looks the same but 236K wall stick is awesome. I wonder what that new move does since it makes a funny sound when it hits the blocking Johnny. Her throw is untechable?

Then why doesn't AC Eddie able to build guard gauge with his shadow moves?

For those who don't know, Eddie Shadow attacks (P, K and S) consume 1/6 gauge.

Eddie K seems to have very fast startup, so much so that you can lockdown immediately from a gatling chain, plus the fact that the 2nd hit will vacuum in opponent.

Eddie P has the same effect, with new animation though.

In 1 of the Shadow VS kaqn matches, Shadow used Eddie HS (Shadow Hole) and stood above the "puddle", but nothing came out from the puddle until it disappeared. I wonder if Shadow Hole needs to be negative edged for activation. Can anyone tell from the recent match vids?

I don't know. I said some. Personally I thought it was stupid that it didn't build guard gauge in Slash either.

Game looks great, very promising. People should remember that after every new game iteration, people bitch because it's not what they're used to. The bigger the changes, the more bitching. The only way I wouldn't play this game is if it turns out to be the Tekken 4 of GG. Fortunately for us, Arc Systems isn't Namco, and we won't have to worry if it's broken and shitty to play, they'll fix it. This game is the future of GG, and if it's not certain people's cup of tea, then that's really not the problem of people who like it. Eddie looks good, Millia looks much better, and Robo easily looks top tier. Later timing on HS disc FRC sucks, but throw combo being back is fantastic. Eddie actually looks much better designed than before, in all respects. I also saw ABA blocking MF while inside of mist. Yet, I saw Buri get hit by it without a problem. I wonder what the deal is on that?

I've seen Johnny MFers be blockable while on misted people before. I think it's just a random bug that has yet to go away through several game versions.

I agree, it might just be a bug. Maybe they'll take it out for the PS2 release?

That's just the mist going on it's way out. First the timer ends, then the mist starts fading away. You can try this your self in Slash. Hit them just before the mist is gone and they'll be able to block. The mist was already over, it just hasn't fully disappered.

Hey, you're right. I just didn't notice that the mist actually vanishes a LOT faster in this game.

Yes, very sad. But JT gives Johnny the 25% air-dash that I always wanted him to have, so it's all good.

Isn't the guard gauge building what made #R Eddie broken in the first place?

That and safe flying k and easier unblockable setups?

I love how in the vs screen they spell Ky's last name as "Kyske" yet in the opening movie it's spelled with an 'i' (like it's supposed to be). <.<

from the few po vids ive seen with the shortened hammerfall and them waking up faster after sliding head po has a much harder time getting inside

Non-physical attacks, such as projectiles, Dizzy's fish and Zappa's dog, should not build guard gauge then.

You make a good point but Zappa's dog and Dizzy's fish cannot corner rape people as consistently as lil' edde can in my opinion.
