Kagura's voiced by Keiji Fujiwara. I'd rather a voice equivalent in masculinity to that. JYB and Yuri Lowenthal are thereby unacceptable, completely out of the question. Troy Baker, Matthew Mercer, Liam O'Brien or perhaps D.C. Douglas are better choices.

Kagura's rebellion will consist of nothing but a harem of bitches; he's already trying to recruit Noel and Makoto. Its only a matter of time.

As for voice actors...Its a toss up between JYB, Yuri Lowenthal, and Troy Baker or even Liam O`Briam. I'm surprised none of those VA's are in the series considering its recorded in LA. So, I think everyone is on board for Karen Strassman voicing Bullet.

please no Yuri lowenthal i can not stand his voice ever since

Can't believe JYB was even suggested... his prominent roles are typically boyish. Kagura's rather.... BULK.

I 'unno, he still looks rather young to me for a "General" or anything close.

He's the leader of the most powerful Duodecim army, how would JYB's voice even suit him...

Anyway, Im glad theres going to be 3 solid stories where you play different characters as you go through. It makes it less convaluted than individual character stories where some things are canon and some things are not. And like Kurushii said watching the same event happen over and over but in another story can be extremely annoying. With these 3, well we know what happened and what didnt.

I agree is JYB is quite overused as a VA, but he would fit. It's hard for a VA like him not to fit, he has the kind of flexibility in his voice to play any non-buff-Nappa-tier male role.

I personally prefer Lowenthall as a VA, but his voice is restricted to the teenager kind of male role, JYB has the bass required to play Kagura.

Troy Baker.......uhhhhh. I don't know. It's hard to really imagine. It could work.

Liam O'brien can fit, he gets a lot of points in "contemporary" just the kind of dash someone with Kagura's body type can work with, but I would rather hear him take on Amane.

I personally think Liam O'Brien would be a good fit for Kagura. This is a bit of a tough case because Keiji Fujiwara is quite versatile (He not only voiced Ali al-Saachez but also characters like Aizawa from Death Note).

Back to story discussion, I am interested in whatever plans Kagura has once the NOL is overthrown.

Well, since he wants to overthrow it, he obviously desires to rule in it's place.

I'd prefer more than just a simple reason. I mean Lelouch wanted to overthrow Britannia because he thought their extensive brutality and use of an archaic Feudal caste system were abhorrent, but at his core he simply wanted grant his little sister's wish of a kind world even if it meant turning himself into a demon who deserves as much death as the oppressors he's fighting.

Depending on how he's fleshed out during story mode, that might not be the case though.

Considering every BB character is messed up in some way, Kagura probably has some defect we haven't seen yet. We have no idea why he wants to take over the NOL and can't be for simply altruistic reasons.

Makoto suggests that they've "gone native." I had the impression that, over the course of two and a half years, the Mutsuki family has begun to sympathize with the Ikaruga refugees and relations between them and the NOL have grown prickly. Of course, that is only an obvious approach. Maybe Kagura wants to rule the NOL himself. Maybe he discovered the Murakumo base bodies beneath Ibukido and wants the power they could bring. Maybe he disagrees with the NOL's approach and wants to remove the Imperator from power. Etc etc.

Well it's not like there aren't simply good characters in BB. Look at Jubei.

Like the above post said, he's not the best parent.

I always thought that was more Kokonoe's problem than Jubei's.

It's not just Kokonoe, Jubei was also kind of a father figure to Ragna and Platinum and look how they turned out.

I thought he was a good father figure to Ragna.

It seems like Kokonoe is just mad he let her mom get killed or something, and that's her problem, it's not his fault.

Do you know how many problems Ragna would avoid if Jubei (and Rachel) would just tell him things instead of playing the trickster mentor game?

I've always kind of assumed that he wasn't there for her during the grieving period.

Do we know if Tsubaki's actually blind now or not?

She technically is, but the False Light the Imperator gave her allows her to still see anyways.

To be fair to Jubei wrt Ragna, Ragna is already a teenager by the time he really spends time with him. They meet when Ragna is younger, but apparently Ragna doesn't remember much about him (or his past) so yeah. Can't make an excuse for Luna though lol

Kokonoe? Eh. We don't know much about how much of a father Jubei was to Kokonoe. There's a cute picture of him holding the hand of a very young (like 3-5 years old) Kokonoe, so he was probably a good father then! He may have been deeply sorrowful himself during that time--he's lost his entire clan, his country is still wrecked, he's seen at least one good friend go down under the Black Beast and another is in Boundary-limbo, and now his wife is dead. He may have left Kokonoe off with Celica and then hared off to nowhere. When he came back, Kokonoe might have blamed him for abandoning her, for not doing much about her mother's death, and for trying to dissuade her from revenge. Jubei hasn't even talked with Koko for twenty years by the time CS rolls around.

I guess Jubei just has a knack for getting stuck with brats with anger issues?

Judging by Kagura winking, I wouldn't be surprised if he was a flirt. The handsome guy that all the BlazBlue fangirls fawn over and start going "KAGURA x NOEL OTP FTW" ........ please for the love of god don't let that shit happen.

that would suck seeing all that, but that and the other "Pairing fanart" is something to shrug off easy (to me) as long the fact of him and her being together doesn't ACTUALLY happen in the game/series (or anyone else going with her for that matter in my opinion.)
