With a brand new version of Guilty Gear on the horizon (Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R), what a perfect way to show your support for the Guilty Gear scene! This year we have a lot of awsome things planned, and the hype is going to be bigger and better than ever! More games, more events, more faustings! Registation: Please post in the thread which games you plan to enter. When: Saturday, December 29th, 2012 . There may be several unofficial side tournaments as well. If you would like to run a side tournament, please consult with me first and bring your own equipment. Singles tournaments All singles tournaments will have 70/20/10 % split for top 3. Pot bonus goes to 1st place. Double elimination. the main event... Guilty Gear XX Accent Core (plus R?): singles $500 POT BONUS!!! (Since the GGXXAC+R console release date is unknown at this time, I am unable to say which version we will be running as of now. If R comes out in time, I will run R. If not, we will be playing regular AC+. 1st place winner will get $500 bonus on top of the tournament pot winnings! GGXXAC teams and special exhibition will start after GGXXAC singles finals. KOF special exhibition will start after KOF singles finals are finished. I know people have commented on the fact that Nickel City's party room has been a tad crowded in the past. Not to worry! This year, we will have access to the entire party room, and in addition, we will have a lot of space on the arcade floor area as well! The staff will clear away many of the non fighting game cabinets to make room for more TV set ups and TO table areas! doragonkoroshi Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I'll be heading to Chicago for the Final Fantasy orchestra thing earlier in December, so I doubt I'll be able to make a second trip, and then I think the NEC folk want that to be the premier "anime game" event, which is also a little close to FF I guess. I don't know. BUT I thought it might be worthwhile to discuss which console to run AC on provided +R isn't out yet. Obviously the the equipment side of the debate is weighted in the favor of ps3/360, but we also already know that ps2 AC runs pretty well. Maybe it'd be best to wait and see how the ps3 AC is, but it's probably a discussion that needs to take place.

Please come to Chicago and take my money! There will be additional pot bonus money added as well. Details coming soon... Regarding which version we use... I can't make that judgment until the PS3/360 port comes out. Once we see how well it runs, we can figure it out from there. Also need to wait and see when R hits consoles. Chris Chaos Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 I'll be getting bodied in GG, and playing P4U. Heck if people are interested, I'd be willing to run a BB side tournament. Last year we only got 8 people to play and that was probably due to the change from CS2/EX was so recent.
