HoudiniJr100 Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 In the Japanese videos, it doesn't really turn the tides as strong as, let's say, Litchi's OD. Look at ArcFest and how Galileo does wakeup clutch OD into game. Usually, I've seen Tagers use it to stall for time at the last ten seconds of a fight or start the match off with activating OD to gain full Spark meter against Mu players. I'm still trying to find a video with tager using OD >.> so an arc revo video could work. :/ it makes sense that it got changed though...magnetism forced on the opponent would seem overpowered... actually it ain't but it'd make sense if said magnetism ended right when the OD ended.

Here you go. Was trying to find a good enough quality to show the magnetism effects clearly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiECilnH9Y4&t=8m16s

Valthazeryus Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 If you watch it again, he uses his Spark Bolt and he'll still be in Overdrive. You can see it after he uses it.

Tagers actual OD is pretty weak compared to everyone else and is something that definitely needs to be upgraded in any future balance patch. Currently The greatest use for Tagers OD is for a fully invincible Guaranteed reversal OD>720. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmjeU6mHn-0#t=12m31s

TagerTime Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 it should of been like the loketest version. if arc wanted tager to be powerful. loketest version wasnt that powerfull since magnetism by itself is still weak, but that effect still should have stayed as a part of the curernt version. I think Tagers OD should be improved by having spark instantly reaching max upon activation, re adding the instant magnitization effect and having magnetism pull greatly increased.

Right. I agree. loketest version wasnt that powerfull since magnetism by itself is still weak, but that effect still should have stayed as a part of the curernt version. At the loketest, just having that magnetic field didn't really seem to help. And it's really redundant if they were already magnetized.

NumeroGaijin Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMmaG_Et5vs&feature=youtu.be Match starts at 2:10. This is one thing I HATE about this game. No matchup should be this bad.

NumeroGaijin Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 A fair character guys. :V But still, isn't Nu just as bad as this match up? To be honest not really. It is a bad matchup but it is still manageable.
mAc Chaos Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Is backdash a good way to deal with a meaty jump in?
Mucky Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Not really. Unless the jump in move in question has landing recovery, there's a good chance you'll just get 5A'd out of the tail end of your backdash.
mAc Chaos Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Then what's the best way to deal with a meaty jump in.
Manta Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Then what's the best way to deal with a meaty jump in. 623C. Works best if you chose Ragna first though.
Mucky Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Then what's the best way to deal with a meaty jump in. quick get up air grab
mAc Chaos Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Somehow I thought Tager had a way to deal with this. Should have known.
Gerk Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I really wish this game would hurry up and come out so you guys can give me valuable gameplay hints. :3 CP is my first game since the original CT and nearly all the new cast since then are threatening to give me an aneurysm. Especially Hazama, who everyone and their mother plays at my semi-local gésen. At least Sledge beats Amane's drills cold.
A.X.I.S. Posted September 4, 2013 Author Posted September 4, 2013 I wish this game would come out too. Sadly we have to wait for October.
Gerk Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 (edited) Playing Tager is suffering. (the machine left of center also has a Hazama playing, he's doing the exact same move the center one is.) Edited September 6, 2013 by Gerk
Darlos9D Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 (edited) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_nCjjDfPLk#t=9m51s uuuuuuuUUUUUUUUUUUGH. Every time something like this happens I just sob in a corner. Any time something ignores magnetism, it just makes it feel like magnetism is a complete fucking joke. ... sorry, I kinda just wanted to share my pain. I mean I'm perfectly aware that all supers pretty much ignore magnetism... but whyyyyyyyyyyy. Sigh, at least it seems like they made it so non-super things largely don't ignore it anymore. EDIT: Fixed the link maybe? Edited September 6, 2013 by Darlos9D
