NumeroGaijin Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Now after some time, I finally feel I can "rank" Tager now. Alot less people are falling for his nonsense so I feel that Tager is more accurately just a very solid mid B tier. He still has all the same problems as before but now he can be more offensive and can force blocking down on his opponents. He seems a heck of a lot more momentum based than he already was. No brain dead Tagers will win. I believe he will stay at mid tier this time. The beginning matches where Tager was just looking awesome are over. Now the matches where each good player makes you respect him has now begun.
Astaroth136 Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 We're talking about videos, but i see no new ones linked. Am I expected to search for videos on youtube like a common peasant?
TagerTime Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 We're talking about videos, but i see no new ones linked. Am I expected to search for videos on youtube like a common peasant? There is a whole crapton of brand new tager videos in the General BBCP video threadhttp://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?15323-CP-Video-Posting-Thread/page43. i watched a lot of them yesterday. im not a moderator so i dont really take the time to link the videos here that often. Speaking of moderators i wish AXIS or OSUNA would hurry up and finish the translated Tager CP Frame Data Page on the BBCP wiki.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Guess who decided to sub this behemoth to piss off his friends? This guy. So yea, I wanna sub Tager, anything I should know before trying it out?

shtkn Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 just try it, it's not htat hard really. look at other ppl's pages, copy paste, and replace their values with tager values... it's really not that hard. if you mess up it's easy to undo.
A.X.I.S. Posted June 5, 2013 Author Posted June 5, 2013 I'll give it another go tomorrow. I am waaay too tired to try today.
NumeroGaijin Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 LOL at our time out tactic that will surely become super effective in a lot of situations lol
TagerTime Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Tager HAS THE POWWAAA!! interview with Blazblue’s creator and producer Toshimichi Mori as well as Blazblue programmer Tatsunori Ishikawa to talk about the upcoming release of Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma SRK: I want to talk about the roster a bit, but before I get into serious questions. What characters do you play? Mori: I play either Hakumen or Ragna, but I only picked up Ragna very recently. Ishikawa: I play Tager. I’m also into some of the new characters like Terumi, but primarily I play Tager. SRK: In your personal opinion, what characters do you think will be the best in the tournament scene? Which characters are top tier? Who are the up and coming stars of this revision? Mori: Players are playing various characters right now, and that’s proof that much of the roster is balanced. That’s exactly what we were going for, but in my personal opinion I would have to say Relius is way more powerful than people think. He’s just subtle. Ishikawa: It largely depends on what tournament you look at. All the characters haven potential, and if you can master them they can all be very powerful. Personally, I think Hakumen and Tager are pretty powerful but they are also easiest to master. In Japanese tournaments you don’t see these characters winning or even getting very far. The technical players don’t enjoy playing them. After the game is out for a while we will have more info, but personally, right now, I think Tager might be the most powerful. http://shoryuken.com/2013/06/20/shoryuken-e3-2013-blazblue-chrono-phantasma-interview-with-arc-system-works-toshimichi-mori-and-tatsunori-ishikawa/ Once we have console practice mode like Ishikawa does we will see Tagers TRUE POWAAA UNLEASHED!! If i posted this in the General Thread the trolls would come out and say how Ishikawa doesn't know what he is talking about lol....
SoWL Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 If i posted this in the General Thread the trolls would come out and say how Ishikawa doesn't know what he is talking about lol.... But they can still say it here Also, people have the right to be biased about their mains.
Osuna Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I think he does know what he is talking about. That statement to me amounts to "Tagers really good right now, but he won't be when the dust settles" Which is a pretty good way of looking at him. Tager as a character tends to cap out on what he can do really early, but cap out lower than more technical characters. His statement shows he understands this pretty well. Tager is doing very well right now, but typically his perceived tier ranking goes down over a game's life.

HoudiniJr100 Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 What does Tager's overdrive do? it makes magnetism forced on the opposing player. in short terms...magnetism is god everywhere.
WolfCrimson Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Ok... But only for the duration of the OD or does the magnetism stay for a while after OD ends? Also, iirc it changes the properties of his D moves correct?
Valthazeryus Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 (edited) it makes magnetism forced on the opposing player. in short terms...magnetism is god everywhere. That was the loketest version. It was changed to just a rapid Spark Bolt meter gain. No magnetic field anymore. I could be wrong. Also, iirc it changes the properties of his D moves correct? They gain wall bounce properties for the duration of Overdrive. Edited June 26, 2013 by Valthazeryus

WolfCrimson Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I see... Tager's OD doesnt seem that useful/strong compared to other ODs. I gotta say though, the Tager wiki is severely lacking info, which is why i had to ask here.

I gotta say though, the Tager wiki is severely lacking info, which is why i had to ask here. In the Japanese videos, it doesn't really turn the tides as strong as, let's say, Litchi's OD. Look at ArcFest and how Galileo does wakeup clutch OD into game. Usually, I've seen Tagers use it to stall for time at the last ten seconds of a fight or start the match off with activating OD to gain full Spark meter against Mu players.
