Wow that's... incredible! I'm really curious how they manage to get past Tagers usual bad match ups and get that many Tagers qualified.

The amount of Bullet players is depressing, but all those Tager players make up for that. Way to go, science people.

But Akira isn't one of them??? So I am guessing he stopped playing.

According to Dora he is busy with RL stuff so he doesn't play.

How minus on block does a move need to be for it to be a gauranteed 720? I always thought if it was -1 you were done.

Pretty sure you need a little bit more minus than that. All I know is 5D is an amazing move for it. I don't know how many frames "out of blockstun" an opponent has to be in order to not get purple throwed.

-5 is good enough for 720 FYI.

-5 or more and they are gonna get snatched.

Decided to test this in training. -2 seems to be the magic number. I'm capable of getting purple throw off -1 with perfect execution, but I always get non-purple on -2 or higher (lower?)

I'm using non-IB 5C. Works pretty damn well. The problem is you have to have really good execution because pushing C too early will get you something like AC or 6C gatling.

A Sledge works really well, but A sledge is reversable. It just seems really obvious to me as well.

I don't know whether blockstun is affected by crouching or not. If it is then you'd need a move that's -4 in order to compensate.

What about if you are blocking a move and trying to land a punish. -5 like Axis says?

I think I realized why I felt like it was instant. In CT every IB would give you +5 so it would basically be the same thing as it being instant startup.

Oh, that's what you meant. I thought you meant frame traps after pressure strings. You need -5 to punish with 720. It has 0 startup after the superfreeze but 5 before it.

Yeah. I was just thinking of Haku pressure and how Tager could basically IB 720 every single normal you had.

But IB was way stronger back then. Although Tager can still pretty much do that against Hakumen.

I still like IB better when it was +5.

Honestly Tager can technically reversal a lot of pressure strings with IB > 720. You usually have to be shamelessly mashing (Mucky) in order to do it though.

The backwards motion of the 720 sometimes gets you IB automatically.

Yup. I kinda mash, but I mash strategically. Like, I don't do it if I think lows or overheads are coming.

I'll admit I need to learn to specifically IB things on purpose more...

You don't mash 720 when you think an overhead is coming? For SHAME.

Wait yeah I do. Okay just lows then, haha.

Well, unless its one of those stupid airborn overheads. Ugh.

There is nothing more I love than reeling someone in with an AC tech trap and having them land right in front of me to get 360/720'd.
