A lot of the tricks with potemkin happen faster because the game generally happened on a quicker timescale (Fastest pokes were quicker, normal throws were 1 frame, Pot buster was waaaay slower at a whole 3 frames, and the guard gauge mechanics meant that 100% combos did exist in certain instances). Potemkin also didn't have to put up with Nu's shit either, the game in general was a lot more up close and personal.

Tager should start the round with a Spark Bolt. That would be a huge buff in and of itself.

Well I don't know if that would be a HUGE buff, but it would be nice. You'd think he'd keep that shit topped off.

I wonder if Tager would be good with his CP form if he could just spark bolt much more often and if 6a was a little faster uncharged with head invul. Ah well, I feel bad for him since every game he ends up not good and he has such a cool character design with the whole magnetism thing.

I think his 6A actually might be faster now. Does it look faster to you? tager cp 6a

Well... did that look faster than 18F?

I'm honestly not sure.

I feel like I'm studying some grainy video over and over, trying to see if a vague shape is a UFO.

BECAUSE I WANT TO BELIEVE.

yeah that clip is not that great. it looks faster and clearer in the origianal video skip to 3:10:43 http://www.twitch.tv/central804/b/342583745

in extend seems like makoto would have scored a counter hit on tager. happend to me often from a further distance than that.

Yeah that does kinda feel faster than 18F. I wonder exactly how fast though.

If it's faster than the head invuln on old 2C (11F)... that'd be neat. I won't hold my breath though.

Since we still have to play Extend for a little while, I was wondering if "Gadget Fling" is still in the game. I haven't been able to do it all, has it been removed?

Awesome! I just saw it as well, in the Fio vs. the World video. Can you still do Gadget Fling in CSEX?

How does he push off into the air to do a 360 when he's already in the air.

:3

Mucky noticed that. Should've given him a new animation.

They need to just give him the hover jets we all know he probably has anyway.

Though, air pot buster made about as much sense.

He has rocket boosters up his arse. For real, you seen the smoke trail on his astral?

Whaaaat, it made way more sense except the part where it reversed your momentum, but that is Clearly explained by the *mumblemumblemurmur*.

I actually really like how they did APB. It didn't feel all that awkward watching it happen the way they did it. I liked that he didn't fly off the screen and you can actually influence the direction he falls in. It seems within the realm of his videogame powers.

Tager is a little weird to watch because he needs to stand still in the air and jump up after, which are both things you'd think he'd do a lot more often if he had the ability.

Well, before this even, one could wonder why the hell he can only launch himself off the damn screen when he's holding somebody, heh.

Fightan gaems.

He can also do it before a fight, don't forget his intro. Maybe he just learned combat from Oro/Akuma/Iori/Indalecio/whoever else is in the "Next time I'll use my FULL POWER!" school of thought.

That's more landing though. It could just be that there's a conveniently placed building next to every arena.

Speaking of that, i think that if the character is so heavy that he/she can barely move, it should also apply to when he/she is juggled, it should be more difficult to do imho

As if there weren't enough character specific combos. In, like, any fighting game.

I mean yeah that's logical, but geeze the learning curve...

Tager was too fat for Lambda's midscreen 236C > 236D link. So being big has worked in his favor at least once.
