Zeromus_X Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Yeah, 2C kara throw is a thing, I should use it more often. In Extend it wasn't very necessary due to Mu's xbox huge throw range but now it's much more useful with the universal throw range nerf.

I just get so annoyed with my gameplay sometimes. Sometimes combos drop or hooray I didn't space someone correctly, here comes 5k damage. I'm not sure what you can learn from my Mu. .__.;

Am I doing the j.b >j.c > j.2c sequence too fast?
pochp Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Yeah, generally delaying j.b j.c j.2c will help make it work. I feel like in some situations though, you're better off not delaying too much, as it causes the laser to miss. If you do it from like starting positions, dash 6b 6c etc. on Jin, iirc you don't need to delay j.b j.c j.2c, so it should at least help you figure out if that's what you're screwing up. It becomes really awkward when you go for it on stuff like roll catch 2b 5c 6c etc. I also don't use this combo in tournaments yet.

I've been doing the Tachi > j.2d > ABDC >j.c > j.2c > dash 3c combo but I've figured I should get this down for her since it's overall a lot better. Though I probably shouldn't worry about it too much since I can only play online at the moment.

The kara comes out so late into the startup that you get more distance by simply dashing and then throwing. Additionally you won't be in counterhit state during the moving forward part by dashing.

Runis Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I find it easier to visually confirm j.B hits before pressing j.C and use that as my delay. Also the combo is long time wise, you're entering auto tech territory by the end.
pochp Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 You can add Sword of Decimation at the end, but there's no point. At that point it'll do 60 damage, and they'll tech out pretty fast. The j.2c knockdown is good enough. You can however use that to your advantage and do like j.2c 2b SoD, and if they tech the 2b, they'll get reset with the SoD if they aren't using barrier.
Adsfzxczxc Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Why wouldn't it be? I can do those combos (though not consistently) and I'm playing on a DS4 pad. There really isn't anything in those combos that would be much easier with a stick. Just grind it out. Where do you drop it?
Runis Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Only hard part on pad would possibly be the 664B you need to do after the first j.C everything else is just basic combo parts. nothing particularly input intensive, mostly timing specific.

I'm a pad player, I was getting this stuff down pretty consistently after seeing the video last night I just wasn't sure of the timing of things. You just need to train your muscle memory on how to do the dash up and let go stuff properly.

When you airdash back cancel the stein, after Ikutachi, make sure you're as high in the air as possible. Also, keep in mind you can dash while holding 3, so you just input 663~c on landing.

Monarch Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Can anyone explain why I can't deploy a stein after I do a midair j.2C and pick it back up with 2B then repeat? I've seen it done many a times, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Zeromus_X Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Make sure to super jump before the j2C. Also make sure they're at the right height when you do sj2C. If you're not sure, blahblah SoD > dash 2b (5c) 2c sj2c jd will always work.
