[CP] Izayoi Gameplay Discussion - Tobe! Gandamu!

It looks like D Sonic Saber isn't the only thing that becomes better in OD (8 small swords spawn on hit/block as opposed to the normal 6), while in OD regular Sonic Saber gets a slightly bigger hitbox. It makes me wonder, if her other specials change in OD as well.

I'm pretty sure this wasn't said before but, G.A 3C Fatals. Easy pickup with 2C. So far that makes her FC's

6C (Both modes)

G.A 3C

Valkyrie Astraea

G.A 6C also has 9-10 frames head invul. so in some way it can be used as an anti air.

i think strike fall might have some sort of change in OD, going off of a (hopefully not mistranslated) post from bbs.

and yeah, someone said GA 3C fatals. 2C in both modes fatal as well (so many fatals lol)

2C too? Goddamn. All but two of them is in G.A though. And im actually coming to like her nornal mode alot more than G.A.

Her 3C is almost exactly like Tsubaki's but it looks like shes even lower to the ground. Cant wait until her FC stuff is explored.

What is it about her normals you don't like are they too slow, not enough time confirm, or a whacky hit box? i saw a video recently of her deconstructing tagers soul in a poke game it looked pretty thorough.

Foremost I miss an anti-air (or anything that attacks upwards). It's been a while since I played now but, 5B did feel slow.

And 2A, 2B, 2C and 3C all felt relatively short ranged (compared to Haku or Hazama 3C).

I wonder if I will ever be able to hitconfirm anything in CP. : P

you have great anti air specials though! 623B and C are godlike!

Yea she really shouldnt be having problems with anti airing. She has alot of options to handle jump ins from her tools

2C, 3C in normal mode has seen little to not use at all, not even in combos. Hopefully the two normal has some sort of utility, i can already think of a couple at the top of my head

I've been watching alot of Izayoi and is her CT bad in combos or something?

I never see anyone use it and have know idea what it looks like.

If her CT is good it might be a good way to raise her dmg a little

CTs arent really being used as much anymore during combos since all they do is tac on some extra damage for 25 meter. That wouldnt be a problem if meter gain was so stupidly nerfed in CP. Some people just arent willing to make that trade.

As for Izayoi i think i saw some CT stuff in one of her combo videos. But iirc the route was kind of obscure. Ive never seen a Izayoi player use her CT in combos in any vids either. The range is really short on it as well, compared to some of the other CTs.

Like I said, I like her specials. Whatever specials she has, I dislike the fact she has no anti-air normal.

The 623-motion would add at least 3F to start-up afaik. That is if you're godlike.

For me it's probably about 9F~12F extra start-up.

Don't know about the I-move-a-quarter-of-the-screen-forward-anti-air, but 10-21 is rather okay.

I was referring to while the heat gain was nerfed generally, they rather buffed Hakumen's beyond ridiculous.

And by the way, Hakumen got 10000 heat as everybody else, but it is divided into 1250-segments.

It's nice to see Izayoi starting to WIN some stuff in some of these videos. :)

A little disappointed that Arcsys seems to have created YET ANOTHER dubiously useful 'mode change' super though. Hopefully someone will discover something useful with it soon.

She can feint her 6B. Also her GA 6C does not Fatal. Trans Am lasts almost twice as long in OD

Normal 2C also punishes tech rolls cleanly. Can transition into 5C > j.C loop combo. Probably around 3.2-3k (Riku dropped it). But the combo wouldn't give any stars.

Wow I just realized that Izayoi has stars like Hakumen. It looks so weird on another character.

She's like a mix between Hakumen/Tsubaki with slow normals and decent range.
