I'd like to continue after evo but I'll need people the community actually likes on the show for two more episodes.

July 26th.

I'm tired of walking around hat in hand.

Get me some big names or I'm doing it myself and you'll just have to deal with what I have to say about things.

Go right ahead.

I guess he didn't really want to give you advice...

Anyway, I say go for it. But you might try (if you haven't) just picking a couple of people and asking them instead of waiting for volunteers.

Anyway, I say go for it. But you might try (if you haven't) just picking a couple of people and asking them instead of waiting for volunteers.

That's what I was doing for a while - no one really wants to talk to me or be involved unless it's to troll - I can't get the people I'd like to get on so this is just where I am if I want to continue the show. I'll do it by myself if I have to.

You guys don't really consider it useful or helpful, anyways. Lots of you thinks I should just quit or that i'm just misinforming people - I have no right, blah balh blah.

Yet through the amazing volume of negative shit I've caught trying to do every thing I try to do with my stream - I can only count on my hand the number of people that see the same need for things that I do and have the guts and the ideas and attitude to do it. Sadly some of them don't like me very much or would rather avoid me, but hey ,I'm a social retard.

So I'll just do it myself. If you don't want to be bothered, that's fine, you don't have to be on, if you don't want to be caught dead on the show, that's fine, I'll do it myself. If you think it's worthless, or I have no credibility, or I'm misinforming people. Don't recommend it and don't watch it, or work with me to make hte show better or come on and call the shit out.

Instead, I've been walking around like an idiot beggar and pariah, trying to make something I want to do work. I had a feeling I might have been wasting my time because of who I am and what people think of me and the show, or maybe it's been a very busy set of months with a major every week or two weeks, so I just waited. I'd like to at least finish the roadmap episodes before I give up on doing this because the possibility exists I could change the format to something more social and casual after that.

I don't know, but I'm angry and highly cynical of everyone now. If You think I'm being a bit of a dickhead - I think it's reasonable to understand how I arrived at this point.

I'd like to not have to be mean about it or tell people off, but it's like nothing else reaches people these days. Everyone has already made up their minds forever and there's simply no convincing them, no matter how strong the logic is or how reasonably or kindly I approach them.

So anyways, what was I talking about? yeah - I'm tired of asking people, and you're right, I don't know why I'm posting to passively ask anyways.

Your speech patterns are awful. It's just a bunch of negativity constantly every time I read a post of yours, ever since I've known you.

How many times has someone told you that people see you in how you see you. Because I see a lot of you based on how you post, and the gist I get from you is... Not great, ill tell you that.

No one wants to be around someone who is frustrated, angry, confused, and possibly crying all the time. By nature, if humans could be happy 100% of the time, we would fucking jump at the opportunity. While you may be thinking this is no time for philosophy, do you really think that no one has tried to bring you out of that slump? Tried to make you happy or at least on your way there so that you can be on the same page as the rest of us? Any answers other than yes here would mean you are more deluded than you think: I've seen it, multiple times. I have been a part of it. You just ignore us and continue being upset, and me personally am not going to babysit anyone, you are either going to understand the simple concepts or you are not.

The point, reiterated a thousand times by many individuals and this may not be the last, that I'm trying to make here, is that you start off with a clean slate. Granted, people get frustrated, that's why other players are here to help you. If your response is to, and still to, spit in the faces of those trying to help you, then people who know you are going to move away very quickly. There is a certain confidence in yourself that you are lacking, but it is never too late to change, whether you want to believe it or not.

Now if you want to do this show, and no one wants to help or watch at this point, you need to come up with a plan, first identifying what problems you are having WITHOUT BIAS[\b], and attempting to change one step out of time. I can tell you right now that a whopping 90% of your problems on this site could be solved if you just learned to be more positive. I'm not asking you to do a 180, just to see things in a different light.

Lastly, I feel like I must say this. At no point in this wall of text was i trying to disrespect you at all. Despite my low tolerance for negative comments I still genuinely want to see you come out of this shell that you are in. Believe what you want, but not everyone is out to get you. In any case, this will likely be my last attempt at reaching you star. I hope you get something out of this.

No, I did. I finished the post about halfway through initially, but I really needed to go do something extremely important that I was procrastinating about for quite a while. Thus, I saved my halfway written post in a .txt file and proceeded to do what I needed to do.

Anyhow, here's my finished post/my take on you, Star:

I am in no way qualified to be on this show, this is mainly due to the fact that I've only been playing BB for a rather short period of time. I believe it's been about a year now? Who knows. However, this site clearly does contain people who would be qualified and do have a vast amount of knowledge to share that has been accumulated through years and years of legitimate experience.

Now, here you are. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to fabricate things and pretend as though I know everything about you, because I don't. However, I have read quite a few of your posts (that I happen to come across while checking out threads and such) and your disposition is seemingly quite schizophrenic.

And in most cases, your mood seems to turn sour rather quickly and as a result your posts begin to become sassy/contemptuous/bitter/self-destructive, etc. Or at least, these are the instances that I've been witnessing.

Just take a look at your last 3 posts in this thread for example:

Collapsed: Last 3 Posts:

Go right ahead.

You're right - that sounds mean.

Forget I asked.

July 26th.

I'm tired of walking around hat in hand.

You don't come off as any sort of idiot to me. And I may be mistaken but I do believe that you want to get along with people/play games with them/gradually improve, etc. But you do seem to lack a strong sense of self-awareness (either that or A. You do it intentionally or B. Your negative emotions/feelings heavily reinforce your posting). Those last 3 posts could have easily been perceived in a negative manner. The first one is a sort of "Whatever" type of response, the 2nd is a "I just threatened you all, but forget it. As I'm clearly not important enough/I'm tired of this" type of response, and the third is a blatant threat which in itself was quite silly.

We're using text to communication with each other via the internet. And with that being said you need to learn to control your emotionally induced posting in order to maintain relationships with most forum-goers (assuming of course, that you actually want to maintain relationships with said people). Sure, I guess this may be easier said than done. But hey, perhaps putting it out on the table/bringing it up is enough to at the very least partially instill some sort positive growth/way forward? Who knows? I certainly don't.

In short, you come off as an extremely emotionally unstable individual. You're all over the place.

The show seemed to be doing quite well at first. You had people who were interested, others who wanted to see you doing something positive, etc. And then, all of the sudden, you hit a little bump in the road (the argument with that "Gio" fellow, which in all fairness wasn't entirely your fault) and BAM! You just explode into your usual emotionally induced posting habits.

At times it seems as though you want to change for the better (I've seen some nice positive posts from you) but you always seem to end up right back to where you started. I don't know how you feel about this habit of yours, but if I were you I'd feel quite disheartened (not saying that you should, but I just know that it'd suck to be in that sort of situation, y'know?).

The good news is, I'm almost certain that you can mend some of your broken relationships. The Dustloop community seems to be very kind and forgiving. But you'll have to get past this whole "downwards spiral" that you're currently in.

So yeah, my intrapersonal perception of your plight isn't any sort of "end-all, be-all" type of thing. But perhaps it holds some truth, or perhaps it holds none and I'm way off here?

That's really up to you to decide, not me.

Easy there, mate, it's a joke. You know. How DARE you not post advice IMMEDIATELY? :P

Speaking of using text to communicate over the internet. Sorry if I left out the obligatory emoticon, but I thought it was pretty obvious that you'd just been delayed.

Oh no, I'm not mad or anything. And I figured that you were joking, you didn't need to add any sort of emoticon; but I just wasn't certain. That's why I felt the need to make a quick clarification.

Better safe then sorry.

Ah, whoops, sorry. My bad. Looks like I misread you then.

Anyway, I agree; Star - you have this tendancy to plunge into negativity. Maybe it'd be better for you to do one show solo (Heck, maybe take "callers" like a radio show) just to prove to yourself that you can do it.

I think doing a BB call in show would be great, except that there might not be that many people to call in. If you don't think there will be enough callers you should dig up some controversial topics from posts on places like dustloop and give your two cents on them.

Also if you have enemies you might want to have some way to screen the calls so your show doesn't turn into this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvbL_5rH1QQ

There will be some planning going on this weekend for the next episode. Planned for probably the 16th, when I want to set up a donation drive for myself complete with a 24 Hour stream, but this is the final roadmap episode - we'll be opening up the floor, soon.

The last roadmap topics include:

META-GAME and ADAPTATION - DacidBro wanted t talk about these - I want to give him his chance, although anyone that's been had tournament wins is welcome to join in.

After some episodes where I'll be inviting people to talk about their game with others, sometime in September I'll do a complete Chronophantasma episode - hopefully catching everyone up on system mechanics and goings on in the BBCP japanese scene since the game came out.

Posted
By adaptation, do you mean things like conditioning and mind games?

Yeah - all that stuff that's next to the actual game - hence "Meta"-game.

My schedule changed and now I have casuals Fridays near at the time these happen. I'd still love to join up though. I think Fridays are a good day to do the show but I was wondering if it would be possible to move the show an hour or so earlier than usual since I'd love to join in future episodes. The show starts at six PM my time and lasts a little more than an hour and the time I need to leave my house for casuals is 7~ PM so just an extra hour would make everything fit in with eachother.

Unfortunately, I think this one might be later than usual unless I can get two dynamite players in. DacidBro gets home late and Lordknight also might be late, but wants to go to summer jam.

I need someone who can appear about 11pm or 12 AM.
