SolxBaiken Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 An [English] dub is totally dependent on who picks up the license for distribution and how they plan on releasing content. And apparently Faylan did the opening to Seikin no Qwaser which may explain why she's doing the opening for the anime. I . . . I don't see any sort of connection what so ever . . .
BlackYakuzu94 Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 I . . . I don't see any sort of connection what so ever . . . Some of the guys that worked on that anime are working on this one, so they probably figured they'd just use Faylan again since she's worked on both projects.

That's not how the anime industry works. Those kinds of decisions are usually left to the production committee, of which the animation studio is usually just a tiny fraction of. More than likely Faylan was chosen because she did the OPs for Extend and CP. Though since no producers are credited on the "Staff & Cast" page for Alter Memory, I can't even begin to guess which companies are on the production committee. Though you'd best hope Bandai Visual is not on the production committee, if they were then hell would freeze over at least 3 times before we'd ever see a dub.

Tokkan Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 https://twitter.com/blazblue_anime - Official Twitter Account opened. http://www.blazblue-am.jp/goods/index.html - Goods section opened.
Tokkan Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 (edited) http://blazblue-am.jp/character/index.html - Jin, Rachel and Hazama have been added to the character section on the official anime site... Also, they've completely spoiled the fact that Hazama is Yuki Terumi of the Six Heroes, so I have to wonder about how much the anime will be covering. Edited July 19, 2013 by Tokkan
raziel12 Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 thxs for the update i guess the next set of characters that will come out will be Tao, Litchi and Hakuman i cant wait to see Hakuman and Nu artwork
LeDom Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I get the feeling the anime will pretty much be its original story but with the same setting, rather than a re-telling of the plot of CT.
Tokkan Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I get the feeling the anime will pretty much be its original story but with the same setting, rather than a re-telling of the plot of CT. It would nice if it were like what the Neptunia anime is doing where it's a standalone story rather than an adaptation of the games, but the introduction section on the official website pretty firmly establishes the anime as being at the very least an adaptation of Calamity Trigger.
Errol Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 well, with the amount of time it has been established that it takes for them writing the story, it does seem like it would be surprising for the anime to have a completely new story. I guess we will see. When was this first airing? I thought I saw sunday.
Tokkan Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 When was this first airing? I thought I saw sunday. We don't know yet, but it's not definitely not Sunday. More like sometime in Autumn.
LeDom Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 October, to be accurate http://i4.minus.com/ibpnru1wwuvbln.jpg
Tokkan Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 They've removed the Jin, Rachel and Hazama profiles from the site. They probably realised the spoiler that was in Hazama's profile, whoops.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 Couldn't they have just take Hazama then? Even if Hazama being Terumi is a spoiler, they made it kinda obvious that he would be a major figure in the CT opening. Ah well. If its own original story then I'm curious to see where they're going with it and where exactly could it take place in the time line.
LeDom Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I think that the point is: Hazama having ulterior motives/is a villain isn't something they want to hide that much Hazama being Terumi however IS quite a big spoiler.
kosmos badgirl Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 They've removed the Jin, Rachel and Hazama profiles from the site. They probably realised the spoiler that was in Hazama's profile, whoops. Saved the art just in case.
Tokkan Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Jin, Rachel and Hazama have been re-added to the characters section on the official website; no spoilers this time.
kylehyde Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 I think the art looks pretty good, I was kind of worried that Rachel might look a little weird but I'm happy she looks dead on.
00Bubbles00 Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 If they make a 3d Blazblue for the next iteration after GG xrd, the characters might look these anime renditions. Can't wait to watch fansubs of this in October.
SolxBaiken Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Stills are cool and all but it will be the actual quality of the animation that matters, if it doesn't look like the sequences in CT then zzz, then again I doubt I'll watch this cause CT's been told so many times .v. If they make a 3d Blazblue for the next iteration after GG xrd, the characters might look these anime renditions. Pretty sure they'd just upscale and refine the models they already use for BB, also I don't think ARC will be making any sort of traditional transition to 3D any time soon.
00Bubbles00 Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I don't mean 3d like Tekken, I mean 3d like GG xrd is.
SolxBaiken Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Still, if they were to make it "2.5D" [if the designs were the same] they'd just use the models they already have more than likely.
00Bubbles00 Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I guess that would depend on how detailed the rotoscoping models currently are. Some things would definitely need to be remodeled such as cloth and hair. In the GG xrd trailer, Ky's outfit shows a lot of cloth effects for example, if using that as a benchmark.
