Zedar90 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 How many episodes planned? Sent from my Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk 4 I think it was said in TGS it is 1 cour (11-13 episodes). I don't know if a more specific information have been released.
Suzaku Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 How many episodes planned? According to the page on Funimation, 12.
kosmos badgirl Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 http://www.funimation.com/blog/?p=2237 Is this stream geoblocked?.
mAc Chaos Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Is that subbed, or no? I assume no, but asking anyway.
TekkamanArk Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I'd actually imagine that it is indeed subbed.
mAc Chaos Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Really? But if it's streaming live, I'd imagine it's not. But then again, it is on Funi's site. That would be pretty great if it's true.
Suzaku Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 It's a simulcast. Funimation and Viz have been simulcasting anime with subtitles for years now.
mAc Chaos Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I thought a simulcast was just a live stream.
SolxBaiken Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 No simulcast just means simultaneous [or really as close as possible anyways, as the average static difference is general ~2hrs] broadcasting. Your just streaming a recording like any other video on-demand service. Yes it will be English subtitled, but as for region restrictions, I can't say, that depends on the amount of licenses FUNimation acquired. -Ninja'd
Tsuki Garyuu Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Yes it will be English subtitled, but as for region restrictions, I can't say, that depends on the amount of licenses FUNimation acquired. It's not based on the amount of licenses or the licenses themselves, this is what Funimation does, limiting their streams to most NA borders. And since they're the only ones streaming this anime right now, well...you get the idea. Cristina Vee's gonna be in some upcoming Funimation dub, she teased she was signing for a Funimation show at NYCC. https://twitter.com/CristinaVee/status/385228466984996864 My gut says Danganronpa, seeing as the game already has the Bang!Zoom cast set, yet Funimation has licensed the anime. A dub of Blazblue is almost too soon to be true...
Tokkan Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 (edited) My gut says Danganronpa, seeing as the game already has the Bang!Zoom cast set, yet Funimation has licensed the anime. A dub of Blazblue is almost too soon to be true... Nah, I'm pretty sure it's neither. It's also too soon for a Danganronpa anime dub since there's no way it's getting on TV and you've got that whole thing where North American BD/DVD releases have to start a minimum of 6 months after the Japanese BD/DVD releases end. It's not based on the amount of licenses or the licenses themselves, this is what Funimation does, limiting their streams to most NA borders. And since they're the only ones streaming this anime right now, well...you get the idea. Uh... No? Licenses for streaming are separate based on country, though it is more than likely FUNi would've only gotten only a license for streaming in North America. Edited October 8, 2013 by Tokkan
blackhybrid Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 So I either go to Comic Con or Pokemon....damn decisions. You will be going to Comic Con and getting me an autograph, easy decision my friend. I know where you live.
7thFonon Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Will the simulcast be on that actual page? http://www.funimation.com/videos/simulcasts
Zedar90 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Nu and Taokaka have been added to the official site. http://blazblue-am.jp/character/index.html
SoWL Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Okay, the first episode just ended. The animation was a bit on the cheap side (the OP recycles animation from the episode, some scenes cut corners in terms of animation), but the overall plot presentation felt adequate, while the OST had lots and lots of remixes from the game (there were at least 6 of them, I think). Nothing extraordinary so far, but they have more than enough time to do better.
SoWL Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 The Hakumen speech was pretty lame Even Hazama has to cut his laughs short, did you expect Hakumen to take his sweet time with his speech? At least him taking the sword out of his sheath was kinda cool.
spesialo Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Even Hazama has to cut his laughs short, did you expect Hakumen to take his sweet time with his speech? At least him taking the sword out of his sheath was kinda cool. I know, didn't think he'd appear this soon though.
TPPR10 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 So I saw a gif of Jin using Ice Sword(?) and holy crap did it look laughable. (As you can figure, I missed the episode)
mAc Chaos Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 It's over? Noooooo But the simulcast said 1 PM CST. That's 2 PM EST. It should have not aired yet. Unless I dun goofed
SoWL Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 It's over? Noooooo But the simulcast said 1 PM CST. That's 2 PM EST. It should have not aired yet. Unless I dun goofed Well I was watching the JP stream, I think the Funi simulcast airs later than that (no idea about the exact time).
mAc Chaos Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 http://www.funimation.com/videos/simulcasts I am looking at the Funi page. Do you need an account or something? It is supposed to be starting now.
