raziel12 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 i kinda liked the series the only 3 drawbacks of it are 1.fast pace of the story 2.really short fighting scenes 3.lack of appearance of the other characters other then thoes it was really good
beanwich Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I for one loved the anime while it lasted. It's just 12 episodes are too short for a story such as BLAZBLUE's, I think that it felt rushed at times and that's my only complaint, but that could easily have been fixed if they simply had more episodes. I realize that because the company that did the anime was new, they probably didn't have the budget or time for more episodes, or maybe they thought that 12 episodes would be enough but it didn't quite work out that way towards the end. But, all in all, I really enjoyed it and that's what matters.
Domenic93 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 it would be enough(or almost enough) if they just covered calamity trigger and only covered the Extend version of calamity trigger. Calamity trigger wasn't so much about building the characters as much as setting a foundation for the world they live in. but it would need at least one more episode so they could have they true ending
BlackYakuzu94 Posted December 31, 2013 Author Posted December 31, 2013 Well Calamity Trigger Reconstruction is more or less just the True Ending with some bits of the other routes thrown in.
Kurushii Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Looks like Volume 2 LE details are out http://blazblue-am.jp/dvd/vol2.html Stages: Lost Town, Circus, Postprandial Happy, Heritage Museum BGM: Queen of Rose, Catus Carnival, Marionette Purple, Alexandrite, X-matic
Rishtopher Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 info Is there any indication that this DLC is going to be available separate from the LE (maybe at a later date, perhaps)?

Narroo Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 No indication What about in America? They really wouldn't make the DLC region specific like that, would they?
Chaoschao222 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 What about in America? They really wouldn't make the DLC region specific like that, would they? They could, and they did in the past with P4A.
Narroo Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 They could, and they did in the past with P4A. They did?
NeoStrayCat Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 They did? They had, if any indication, it was only the Mag. Colors that didn't come overseas. (Unless otherwise noted...)
FinalDoomGuy Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 That actually kinda sucks. Now we just have a plain bad anime. Before, the anime was amusing to watch because it was so bad it even looked bad. That's actually too true. Seriously, fuck this anime. The one redeeming thing is that it gave us that picture of anime Terumi doing Tager's Astral and arakunegoingupstairs.gif through its QUALITY animation.

The one redeeming thing is that it gave us that picture of anime Terumi doing Tager's Astral and arakunegoingupstairs.gif through its QUALITY animation. I also agree. At the least, the bad writing paired with the bad animation made it funny. Competent animation won't be nearly as entertaining.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 This anime has been over for almost a month, and we're still complaining about the animation. :\
Luminos564 Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 This anime has been over for almost a month, and we're still complaining about the animation. :\ Probably because, as Narroo mentioned, whereas before we had a bad animation with bad writing and didn't have to take it seriously, now we have decent animation but the bad writing did not get fixed, so the effect is more jarring. To give you an analogy, imagine 2 clowns throwing a bucket of shit at you. The first clown is just throwing turd after turd. So you know what you're in for and can even laugh a few times at the antics. The second clown though is still throwing shit except he now takes time to shape each turd into the image of the Mona Lisa and sprinkle some perfume on it. It might look nicer but at the end of the day it doesn't change the fact that he's still throwing shit at you.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 I'd imagine that we'd be satisfied that they bothered to improve a flaw within the product. But I guess I'm just weird for actually looking on the positive side of things. My attitude is "they fucking improved it, even if it's still overall bad , that should count for something" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My attitude is "they fucking improved it, even if it's still overall bad , that should count for something" Oh don't get me wrong; I acknowledge that they tidied it up and gave it some polish. But that's only the surface. The core problems of poor storytelling and mishandling of the source material are still present. Maybe it sounds like I am harsher than most, but remember that people like me who are not living in Japan have very little effect on the product so I figure I might as well point out everything I felt the studio did wrong. That isn't to say I do it out of sheer malice. I do it because I like critiquing and I genuinely think there's potential in this provided some necessary steps are taken.

The show is less entertaining now. It was only entertaining for the wrong reasons, but it at least had some entertainment value. Now a chunk of that is gone.

That sounds completely fair. Luminose at least acknowledged an overall improvement despite the overall product not being very good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mAc Chaos Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 The core problems were the pacing and story telling. I bet if the bad animation was still there, but everything else was good, most people would not care about the animation. Or at least I wouldn't. It's basically the least important problem. If they used the BDs to add extra scenes and flesh stuff out, it would be a different story.
kylehyde Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I really hope the anime comes out stateside. Don't give a damn about the criticisms I would buy it in a heartbeat. Especially if they would be able to get the English voice talent from the games to reprise their roles.
kylehyde Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 <Doesn't watch any english dubbed anime> XP That's too bad, their not all garbage some of them are decent hell even good.
Shinhwa Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 That's too bad, their not all garbage some of them are decent hell even good. I just prefer original Japanese...
