Suzaku Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I think that's a mistranslation/mistyping because it's written as Genyouzan (and is written differently on official site) on SRK. You're right, I didn't notice the different kanji at first. It's actually Kabe-hasei Genyō Zan, or "Wall-based Phantom Hawk Slash." His Force Break was Genyō Zan: Yō, roughly "Phantom Haze Slash: Yang" or "Phantom Haze Slash: Sun" depending on their intent with the name. suzaku may's move that is 22k is 22p or k Fixed.
TheMonsterKing Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 im extremely hype but nothing will happen until thursday/friday oh no and even then its a bunch of people who arent me who will play i will watch all mysterious footage that shows up on the internet with passion
tataki Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Was browsing through the images in the manual pdf and I decided to make a lovely gif to show the activity of the HUD. Would it kill you to remake the gif to flash at a slower rate? Jeez...
Fenrir Werwolf Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 (edited) I'm quite sad that Daisuke didn't followed the design choices followed in Overture (new designes and such), but in the end they don't look that bad. I hope they keep the Overture Dizzy design, it was very nice Edited August 6, 2013 by Fenrir Werwolf

LeonD Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Would it kill you to remake the gif to flash at a slower rate? Jeez... MIND RAPE LV999! @Kurushii: Seriously, slowing the gif down saves someone's life man!
RoBoBOBR Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 "having loke test video today or tomorow?" Your chances are zero. Loketest starts on august 9th.

TeeJay Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 (edited) Having actually seen the Before and After of Botemkin, I'm genuinely curious as to what human Tager looked like... Leorio from Hunter x Hunter? but darker Edited August 6, 2013 by TeeJay
Luminos564 Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 OK, who let Kokonoe into Potemkin's dressing room? Come on, speak up. Your silence only further prolongs his suffering ! Joking aside, I don't hate the design myself. It's just, really out there for him. Especially when compared to the other returning characters who retain their basic look from last time (even if Chipp looks like he's trying to pull his best Polnareff impression). Then again I suppose the robotic look fits for him since, IIRC, Zepp is supposed to be this big, science trumps magic country so it could always be the case of making their best soldier. But still, the redesign really took me by surprise.
WolfCrimson Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 General Potemkin, sir! *salute* I can get behind that.

But still, the redesign really took me by surprise. It's really not so weird. It's basically a militarized version of the Zepp uniform he wore in A Butterfly and Her Gale, with a stereotypical German spiked helm. The overall design may well be a tribute to Panzerfaust, as well. Having actually seen the Before and After of Botemkin, I'm genuinely curious as to what human Tager looked like... I imagine not too different, honestly. Something along the lines of his original, scrapped designs (which served as the inspiration for Bullet), minus the oni features. TPPR10 Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I honestly wonder why their bios are still the same. Is it because they don't want to spoil anything? They don't think us knowing what they have been doing since XX is important? Or just because they are lazy?
Calamitus Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 http://images.wikia.com/guilty-gear/images/b/bc/Ggxxac_am_po.png I think in AC he looks better. I guess this helmet ruins impression. It looks too small for such body. Well, maybe in-game screen will release me from doubts.

zdravkelja Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 He does have a small head though... Except for his shoes and May's arms, everyone looks ok to me.
werewolfgold Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Anybody wanna start speculating on what the final roster count'll be? +R has 25, so they should probably surpass that somehow. I'm thinking that they could start from 22 (no Order Sol, Kliff, or Justice) and then add Sin, Izuna, Paradigm, Valentine, and Raven (they can have plot shenanigans so that Axl and Raven can be there at once). And then, maybe 1 new character. Is 28 a decent number? Maybe "That Man" will be the boss this time (and actually get a real name)? What do you guys think? Is that feasible? They'd have to come up with fleshed out movesets for the 5 GG2 characters so we probably won't get a slew of completely new characters. Would people be satisfied? How attached are people to Kliff and Justice?

How attached are people to Kliff and Justice? If they keep revealing them in groups of 7 (and there's really no reason to think that will be the case), we might be looking at a final roster of 28 characters. Which, incidentally, would be equal to the combined casts of GGXXACP + GG2, minus Order-Sol, Kliff, and Justice, if you include That Man, who was an unplayable boss. Of course, 28 is a hopeful number, but perhaps not realistic, given this is a ground-up rebuild of the game engine. If it were GGXXACP+GG2 that would also leave little room for new characters (perhaps drop That Man and Valentine?). Still, it's hard for me to imagine a new entry in a fighting game franchise without at least three or four completely new characters. Edited August 6, 2013 by Suzaku
Destin Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Dizzy with some real clothes on would be amazing. At least an alt costume will let me dress my girl up.
Starlight777 Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 (edited) If we get any new characters I want Raven and that's only if he looks close to his Overture appearance. Valentine would be cool too. Edited August 6, 2013 by Starlight777
SolxBaiken Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I'm curious as to what made Millia and Potemkin the only ones to receive radical redesigns [so far]? Also will they [or anyone] have different idle/movement animation? The only new character I want is to know who That Man's 3rd henchman is lol
SoWL Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I'm curious as to what made Millia and Potemkin the only ones to receive radical redesigns [so far]? Also will they [or anyone] have different idle/movement animation? The only new character I want is to know who That Man's 3rd henchman is lol - Millia deserted the Guild; - Potemkin grew up in rank; - The rest have little reason to go through any radical redesign. And I suppose the animation is going to stay the same, if only as a visual cue for experienced players (like how the models are different between DotA and Dota 2, but still similar to prevent any confusion).
SolxBaiken Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Millia deserted the Guild LONG before Xrd and I can understand Botemkin for obvious reasons, but I'm more curious as everyone else didn't get more distinctive changes. I think Sol and Ky got the right mix of new and old aesthetics.
