Chipp counter hit j.D ground slides

When you say it does a ground slide here, do you mean the tumbling roll thing that's new, or the regular slide like we have currently? Just trying to distinguish if they're two separate things, or if the tumble animation is just the new visual for the same slide effect

I'm not sure if it's the new build. But we do have some new Xrd vids up here(just today). Watch while you can.It's Sol vs Ky for now.

And a quick thanks to ElevenShadow,and Any one else after Dream Maker.

Edit:There's also a quickie of May and Potemkin as well.

Good question. I want to say its the tumbling one but it looked sorta different but my eyes may not be adjusted to what each character looks like when in tumble state. For all effective purposes, tumble works more or less like ground slide anyway.

Actually just thought of something else that I can't recall if it's been answered or mentioned before or not...

Does air recovery require mashing, or does it allow teching as soon as possible by button holding like in P4A and BBCP?

These are indeed from the new build. The way I could tell is from the additional stuff at the end of the round. Previous build only said SLASH at the KO, did not include the WINS / LOSES and the icons below them after the KO.

If you RC a projectile while the projectile is touching the opponent you get a red RC.

Ky's throw can only be red RCd

Ride the lightning absorbs projectiles or at least gun flame (I may I have posted this at the last loketest)

Thanks for the keen confirmation. I'm scarce on the vids back in the first test cuz I was dumb enough not to download the vids. So I have a short memory on it.

-What I would do for Anji/A.B.A. But I guess I will have to play Slayer(Since I play him casually on the side).If,to the least: Johnny,Baiken,Sin, or even Raven don't make it in.

Can you YRC Bandit Revolver before active frames? Or Slayer's 6K before actives? Or his hop HS attack after dandy step before actives?

Yes you can YRC BR but Sol wont jump that much forward as he does in AC.

Btw:

-Sol's DI air command throw can't be canceled into from normals just like Fafnir and also cant be combo'd into.

-During DI Sol's dive kick does a huge ground blast when he land and TR does 50% damage.

Also finally managed to pull off the dust loop on my last try before i leave.

the timing is way too different from before!

In Faust mirror match, what happens to his face when he is hit with the Kanchou super? Does it show his face, like with Potemkin?

So they gave Sol a DI only blockable air command grab that you can't combo into? Daisuke pls.

Yeah we tried it together and he managed to block it.

i think that this version of DI is Ridicules enough! if you see the the dive kick and his TR!

That still doesn't mean they give him a new move that's just about useless.

@ElvenShadow Are weight categories just as different/pronounced as in 2D GG?

Yes. For example there is at least still a distinction between light characters and not. I can tell because Faust sweep into pogo only cleanly combos on light characters and that is how it has always been. So it works on may Millia and I-no but no one else just like always.

Clark's grab is a real grab though, it's just that the system is different so that you can do grabs on hit stun as well as neutral state instead of just neutral state.

If you want a KoF similarity, it would be more like Ralf's Bareback Vulcan or Yuri's EX running grab. Both are hits but you get the grab animation once the initial hit connects, or at least that's the way it sounds.

A couple of quick questions about Chipp.

Is instant Air Alpha still in (tiger kneeing the alpha blade so that you get it so close to the ground you can combo off it after you land) and 2, can you do teleport RC of any kind for quick overhead mix-ups?

I don't recall if I saw it but I would say they won't show his face. If I did see it I would remember.

Yes, right now dragon install "command grab" in the air seems shitty.

I found out that you actually can YRC Fausts new upward pogo move but only if you do it right as it starts up before the active attack frames. After that you get purple. Depending on how fast you do it Faust will either be on the ground or just slightly in the air. As a result, I can actually see this being used for mixups because it will be very hard for the opponent to tell where Faust is after the cancel. If on the ground he can do a low. If in the air, instant overhead kick. At the very least it is a safe instant way to dismount pogo for 25% meter.

....and with that, I am sorry to say that this is it for me. I actually left the loketest to have dinner and drinks with some friends a few hours ago and lost track of time. I'm on the train back to my city now. I won't go back tomorrow. Gonna spend some time with my wife. I hope you guys all got some useful info from me. I did my best to answer what I could. Hopefully other contributors can try to answer any remaining unanswered questions. Also, some things that people have asked have already been answered so review all of my notes. I'm happy to answer more things based on what I remember but my testing has come to an end for this loketest. Ill make sure to go to the next one whenever that may be.
