We should have something new to cry over every week! Honestly I'm glad to see that Faust is nowhere near the unstoppable powerhouse he appeared to be in the first weeks. Can't wait for Bedman week! But yeah, some really amazing play on display!

If Zato sucked it would've made things worse. No one has played Zato like how Ogawa has up until now. Besides, Machaboo was able to hand him his 4th loss in the game since it came out. That says something :p

On another note I really wonder what May is saying to herself when she IK's herself. Those Ogawa Machobo matches were all super intense. I like how Machobo ends VP combos with meaty lightning sword thing

I went on the player's guild to check out Machaboo and other players where they rank. Last I recall I didn't see too many Fausts at the top honestly, apart from Elven himself, there aren't that many Fausts in terms of wins and RR's. Though I'm curious to see this top Sol player and Eki-chan's Millia... And even in AC no one quite made use of Eddie/Zato like Ogawa did. Speaking of Faust, Nemo looked like Ogawa shattered his will to play/win after a while. I kinda felt sorry for him, eating all those perfects and getting dizzied so many times.

Destin Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I think faust is just easy to get a handle on compared to much of the cast. You have access to his stronger tools (his pokes) with much less work than a lot of characters. I don't mind about it being "overpowered", but all those fausts in the early vids sure were boring to watch. I want to see eleven shadow wrecking house.

OneSanitarium Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 It's a new Slayer overall, with stuff that's different from #R, but things form both games as well. #R is definitely the closer of the two, though. It's the base of Xrd's Slayer, and they share how a lot of normals seem to work. #R could show you how some of his chains work, both air and ground, and could just give you a little insight on what he is based on. Just know there are a decent amount of changes.
