Dandy J Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I'm not liking the blitz shield too much. I thought it would be better than what my first impressions was. When someone has success with a blitz shield, the other player seems to always want to retaliate with another blitz shield. It's like when two scrubs fight each other. When one guy wake up reversal the other seems get a sudden urge to do it back at them. I see it all the time. Especially in Street Fighter 4. I haven't seen anyone bait a blitz shield retaliation. Which is kinda depressing. I hope this gets better in the future with more awareness. weird i see the counter bs baited almost every time its used
youcanwonder Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Let them take their time for the char roster. It's not bad right now at all...would i like more chars..of course. But also we gotta take into consideration how they are designing char to work w the new system. Plus them adding new chars I'm sure takes time to develop them and their move sets, animations, blah blah. More chars is a given just a matter of time. As for release..I'm thinking jpn winter this year. NA, spring or summer next year for us lol...importing this as well
Coffeeling Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 One thing to keep in mind: The more weird-ass shit and jailbait waifus make it in, the more likely people are just not going to give the game a go. A good chunk of the ACR cast is over that threshold, I think. AH3 is a prime example of what can happen.

White Man Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I have no problems whatsoever with the game's roster as it is now. 14 is a decent number of characters, and there's a good amount of variety present in terms of gameplay styles and story representation from the various "factions" (for lack of a better term). That said, I certainly wouldn't complain if they added a couple more faces to the console version, which I'd say is a strong possibility given their recent history.

If they have any presence or if Xrd is somehow magically at E3, I'll be sure to let you guys know. And I'll spend all 3 days playing it instead of looking at anything else.... except the Atlus booth. And maybe anything that Suda has to show off. And if I do see Ishiwatari again, the first thing I'm going to do is give him a zj ask him to bring the GG concerts to the USA. I'm tired of waiting for Video Games Live to add it to their show.

He's one of the more unique characters that they haven't brought back yet. 90% sure i read an interview (someone posted the link here) Where ASW said Slayer made it in over Johnny, either because he was slightly more popular or easier to use.

That's... sort of what they did with vanilla AC for the PS2, in a way. I can understand why they wouldn't do that with a new game in Japan, but for other territories, yeah, I could see that as a viable way to market the game.

Not long after Xrd's announcement, the president of ASW said Ishiwatari going to E3 was possible. Didn't really say anything definitive, though, just that it could happen.

According to Daisuke/Pachi (can't remember who) they both have roughly the same popularity. But as both Daisuke and Johnny players in this forum have said, Johnny is fairly more complex to utilize optimally than Slayer. So I see him at the top of the waiting list, I'd love to see and Xrd set between Satou's Johnny against Machaboo's Ky again. Also I saw Satou play Millia, this guy's neutral game is insane, but I guess that comes with playing Johnny. He's a very honest character, I don't know who's more honest, him or Ky.
