Clousephinat Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 And if they are planning to do any kind of serious coverage of the Crusades other than Justice's fight with Sol that got her sealed as a part of the recap, they kinda need the pre-fireseal Order-Sol. Speaking of the Crusades and Order-Sol, it would be nice if they adapted the XX Drama CD Red and Black into the story mode. Not entirely necessary, because at the time when humanity (Crow?) managed to seal Justice Sol already got the Fireseal. The X2 Drama CD Red and Black would be just too cool, I-no laughing in front of Ky's corpse, the encounter between her and That Man, the desperate fight between Sol and Dizzy in order to save humanity,... If they really decide to make an anime of GG that would be a great choice, or rather just do some other prequel like the manga adaptation. I believe Arcsys is aiming to have both Japanese and English versions released at the same time. Hopefully they'll say something at this year's Tokyo Game Show. Yeah, I believe so. After all, I'm sure there's a lot of people who wouldn't buy a game just for not having english dubs, but probably either way wouldn't be bad choices since doing so would obviously cost more money to the cause, but personally I wouldn't dislike english dubs whether they end up being better or worse. 31 December is just a placeholder. Also, who cares about alt costumes? I just need decent online and vs mode, and that'it Totally agree.

The game would cost possibly sub £30 (PS3) in the UK if it was officially released over here, importing would be £40+ and then there is the threat of customs charges. Arc dont give us any release window and also no bonuses or explanation for the delay. Its irritating considering how launches accross regions have been very close

I'd probably import if it wasn't out in the UK at the same time as the States. I'd have to fix my PS3 first though. I hope it arrives in a close time frame across all regions to be honest. This may be the first GG that I can have easy access to in years.

Well, I was kinda expeciting a late last quarter release anyways so I'm not too bummed out. I guess later part of fall and the 'holiday' season of 2014 kinda overlap so... no harm done, right? Hears hoping it doesn't get delayed or anything. That's what I\m worried about!

Even before thanksgiving, every department store has a bunch of christmas decorations up. I imagine it won't be too far off from the "Fall" release date

Layer Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 A later release date just gives me more opportunity to save up money for an impulsive purchase of a PS4. Also, one last bit about the whole dubbing discussion; the main reason I see them dubbing it is that this is supposed to be a new start for Guilty Gear and "A New Era for Arc System." So I'm sure they would wish to try to appeal to as much people as possible. And while it's dumb, as many japanese purist there are, I can imagine way more people who would put off a game because it's too japanese and only has subtitles.

I get people to play them. They don't keep at them because they can't be bothered going through the rigmarole of buying a game that isn't available in the region for themselves to train. The tolerance for importation in scenes is a great deal less than it used to be, and it does nothing but hurt potential newcomers from getting into games. You can make quips about people not being dedicated if you like, but I watched Persona 4 Arena's interest live and die by its availability, even with every scene in this country having access to 2 copies at US/JPN launch. That's awfully optimistic of you. I'm being optimistic that they learned from P4U. The only revision of an ASW game we've received on time is CS2, simply because it was a patch.

White Man Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Cross-console play would be amazing, not to mention a pretty smart business move for ASW (there's no benefit to dividing the fanbase if you can prevent it). It gives people less incentive to pick up a PS4 if they don't already have one, but Sony probably considers this a small enough title that it wasn't worth "incentivizing" ASW to keep the online modes separate. This also confirms identical content and performance for both versions, which is really good news.

The cross play part is really awesome though. Some of my friends just wasn't ready for a PS4 so now I can still play with em! ^^ My hype is still up there though!
