Do I have to make a Japanese account to unlock Elphelt with my unlock code on PSN or can I unlock her on a European account on the PS4? I'm pretty confused since this is my first imported game ever. 

 

If it's the JP version of the game, you need to have access to the JP PSN store to redeem any codes. So yes, a JP account is needed.

Ranked scrubs aren't picking Ky and doing low strings into greed saber?  This is not the GG I know.

 

Nah, 90% perma pummel you in the corner with upper cuts. Its pretty disgusting and theres not much you can do about it if you play a character with shit reversal options and 12f+ buffer. I really dont get how they managed to provide such a decent lobby experience and even seperated them by countries but throw you into ranked queue with people from other continents.

Going through challenges, why are Sol's gunflame and Ky's stun edge labelled "(Enhanced)" when done as part of a combo? Is the startup faster?

"(Enhanced)" seems to be loosely defined in the challenges. I those two cases, I think it just means it's not suppose to combo.

If I didn't preoder Elphelt, what is my best option if I want to play the game? Is the HK more expenseive? Does it have any differences from the JP?

 6 I think. I'm usually against this kind of DLC but there is actually some godly ones. 

 

Iv been watching story mode for awhile and the Dubs fine. Gabriel scene is my fav so far.

Just another person saying that ranked matches in Xrd are currently unplayable. Specifying a minimum number of bars for the connection does absolutely nothing, and 4-bar connections vary from 2 frames of delay to 20. I also got a bug where I couldn't enter myself for ranked matches at all, and it kept announcing that I had a challenger with no prompt for me to accept the challenge, and then gave me a message when trying to connect to a lobby that my online profile was corrupt, and continuing would delete all of my match history/statistics. I dunno if everyone is having issues, but it might be a good idea to avoid online play against people who aren't local for awhile.

Didn't BBCP also have terrible netcode after release before ArcSys released a patch?

 

I'm pretty sure Arcsys is going to fix everything eventually. Wish they could somehow make PS3 graphics look a little better

The thing is that Xrd doesnt have terrible netcode. Its decent in lobby mode. I generally have 2-3 frames delay which is pretty damn good.

 

However, they fucked up the ranked mode. Its a complete gamble. Guy can have 4 bars and you end up with 19 frames delay. Another one can have 0 bars and you will have 5. I dont know what went wrong here, especially since the lobbies are country specific (Spain, France, UK, Germany etc.). The ranked queue is just completely fucked. It only selects potential opponents by the amount of bars they have. And since that doesnt work properly it queues you against anyone, no matter what continent they are from.

 

So no, its not the netcode, its the fact that they lack country flags and that the bars are bugged in ranked mode (they work totally fine in lobbies)

Why avoid online play if just Ranked is having issues? Just avoid Ranked play and do player rooms like a normal person XD.

Ok, doing some manual testing for guts values, using Slayers air super (does 100 damage).  All of these values are against Sol, who has a defense modifier of 1.00:

 

Sol

100-51% health remaining - 100 damage

50 - 41% health remaining - 86 damage

40 - 31% health remaining - 71 damage

30 - 21% health remaining - 57 damage

20 - 11% health remaining - 47 damage

10 - 00% health remaining - 39 damage

 

 

So yeah, these are the breakpoint values.  You wont see a change in damage when health is set to different values within these ranges.  I'm assuming that we can reasonably use this to determine Xrd's guts factor, and for comparison, this a significant increase compared to Guts 5 in AC/+R (where Sol had a Guts Rating of 1).  If anyone wants to point anything out about this method that might skew my results, post here and let everyone know before I start editing the wiki.  I'm going to leave in a while, so I'll probably do that stuff tomorrow sometime.  I'll check Faust next since he has the same defense modifier and edit the results into this post.

Does guts kick in during combos? or is the idea get them down to >=51% and then kill them in one combo?
