worstburstever Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 (edited) EDIT: ArcSys revoked their previous permission they gave me, so I can't have any more shirts printed now. Pretty rotten behavior from the company I love, but whatever. I'll let you know if I can put them back up in the future Hey guys, Long time dustloop forum lurker with no real reason to post anything until now. Don't get to go to tournaments really because, well, poor college student, bad geographic location, coinciding work hours, etc. But I digress. In my couple hours of free time I've been working on some GG themed flat color art, intended as apparel designs. In short, I've put together a spreadshirt shop, and bought a couple of my own products to make sure they are good quality. I'm quite happy with them and as a result, ready to share. Currently I have character shirts that cover approx 2/3 of the cast (currently missing: Anji, Axl, Bridget, Chipp, Robo, Testament, Zappa, Kliff, and Justice), in 4 to 5 color palattes, each with 2 varieties of men's shirts, 1 women's shirt, and a hoodie. Missing characters can be worked on and added if there would be interest in them, so let me know. I'd also love any comments, criticism, suggestions, whatever you want to throw at me. I'd like to also just make a note that I in no way intend to turn this into a real business like BrokenTier or something (shoutouts to koogy). I just really wanted some guilty gear character themed shirts, and decided to see if the community would as well. Here is a sample of two of the designs, Millia and Pot. I'll also end up designing other non-fgc related stuff (in fact I just put up my new Mirror's Edge design today). Anyway, without further ado, here's the best way to view the products by design: KaedeProject Designs Thanks, -WBE Edited June 26, 2013 by worstburstever information out of date
Solid Gold Wall Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 i've got some questions about a design, i'll shoot you a pm
Xtra_Zero Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 (edited) The I-NO and Millia designs are fantastic, the May one is pretty good, Faust is okay but would be better without the text, Eddie one is decent, Johnny is alright, the rest are too busy/boring imo. My favorite is the I-NO design. The text placement is great, the pose is a nice shape, unique and iconic, and the color borders are very nice and minimal without making the character ambiguous. I do think the Millia design could use a little more minimalism. Edited June 13, 2013 by Xtra_Zero
TheRealBobMan Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Potemkin, May, Johnny, Eddie, and Dizzy look great, with honorable mentions to Slayer and Order Sol. I don't like the text based ones except for Slayer and somewhat for I-No. They kind of work, but I don't think the other ones do. Order Sol's text feels like clutter. There's enough detail on his clothes to look at that the text is unnecessary and hurts the composition. I really want to see some of these with more color pallets done. While I like the I-no design, I think it suffers because she has little detail, so the color is what really defines her (it's her body, and then her guitar / text). Then, her colors don't really match with the shirt colors as well as some of the other designs. I definitely like these, and I main I-No, so I might be down to buy one if you get more color pallets in. I'll let my friends know about your stuff too.
Pete278 Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 I went through all 20 pages before realising there was no Bridget
Rhiya Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Millia design is pretty sick. I might have to get one. >_>
worstburstever Posted June 13, 2013 Author Posted June 13, 2013 do you provide any special offers or discount on shirt categories or not? Unfortunately, one down side of spreadshirt is unless you pay a monthly fee to be a premium member, some things are restricted "Activating discounts is an attractive option available for Premium members." So nah not really unfortunately. However, occasionally spreadshirt does some site wide discount code stuff, just have to look out for it. I actually just missed one before my shop was ready, earlier this month. It was like a 10% sitewide code. Anyway, sorry about that.
worstburstever Posted June 13, 2013 Author Posted June 13, 2013 Where my Baiken at? Baiken is there! in fact I own one of her shirts already! :D http://kaedeproject.spreadshirt.com/shop/designs/index/p5

Like I said they were all intended to be flat-color designs. However, I wanted to make each design a little different, some more detailed, some less, some with text, some without, just to see what people would like. Overall I think the most unanimous thing I've seen is that the text is unwanted. So I will probably end up dropping it from most designs (Faust, HOS for example) Again thanks so much for the feedback.

I will probably be removing the text from most of them at some point and remaking those products. I DO want to do more color palattes as well. We will have to see, because unfortunately spreadshirt limits the total number of designs you can upload (but not products you can make), unless you're premium I believe. I currently have about 12 available uploads left (with about 90 used already lol).
Celerity Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Godlike. Ordered a Jam shirt, might be interested in more if they get a bit more detail (like Millia's), or if the site starts offering zip hoodies.

I'm gonna look at which ones people are digging more and consider reworking ones with more or less detail etc. I can also absolutely look into throwing up some zip hoodies as well. Just curious, would you be interested in a back side design for a zip hoodie? or a split front side one? I assumed back.

I don't know if the site would let you put a small GG logo on the front, or a tiny character outline, or something.
worstburstever Posted June 13, 2013 Author Posted June 13, 2013 Yeah, probably back for the main design. I don't know if the site would let you put a small GG logo on the front, or a tiny character outline, or something. Yeah, I can look into doing something like that for sure. I was thinking about putting like a redesigned GG logo on stuff. I've considered doing double sided designs, however, the reason I haven't actually done it is because each side of the design is a flat rate charge. So if I put a huge picture on the back, its x amount, and then if I put a tiny little logo on the front, its another addition of x amount. So just in order to keep cost down for people I chose not to do that. But yeah good idea, Im still considering doing that stuff.
SolxBaiken Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Baiken is there! in fact I own one of her shirts already! :D http://kaedeproject.spreadshirt.com/shop/designs/index/p5 We in there! \(^-^)/
Phrekwenci Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 For Zappa I'd recommend any of these sprites -naked jD -centipede overdrive -just about any ground sword move -Raoh 6HS -Raoh jHS
Silmerion Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Ooh, are we recommending sprites to use? For Axl, I'd go with either Rensengeki, FB Bomber, or the part of Rashou where he's cheering "Yes!".
worstburstever Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 Good suggestions thanks guys, I'll have a look.

Want a different color pallet. though. wish the blue/green pallet just had i-no's silhouette in white instead of green. then it would be perfect
Circuitous Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 If that Potemkin design ever shows up in his EX Slash palette...
worstburstever Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 I'll try and incorporate these palattes A.S.A.P. Unfortunately it's not difficult for me to change the colors, it's the fact that spreadshirt only allows a certain number of designs uploaded, and I'm dangerously close already haha. Let me see what I can do for the requests so far.
worstburstever Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 (edited) Oh also, anyone interested in buying anything, looks like friday, 6/21, is a good day to do so, as it is free shipping on any order, no minimum. Coupon code is TDAY2013 Edited June 19, 2013 by worstburstever
Amadeus46Art Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Got my Jam hoodie in the mail! If she's ever got a #Reload Slash color let me know ;3
