BlackYakuzu94 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Ogie Banks sounds like the hoodest name ever, Jesus Christ.
Poultrygeist Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 So any ideas on who might get cast as the remaining characters? Obviously I have no basis for any of this, just casting I think would make sense. Kliff -George C. Cole Testament - Grant George Anji - Todd Haberkorn doing his Yun/Natsu voice Jam - Either Michelle Ruff or Hunter Austin Bridget - Bryce Papenbrook if they want him to sound specifically male, Laura Bailey doing her shota voice if they want him to be more androgynous Zappa - Steve Staley Raven - Patrick Seitz doing his "evil guy" voice (Dracula, Dio, Nyarlathotep, etc)
LeDom Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 May as well follow up Robo-Ky: Sam Riegal (you don't say) Baiken: Karen Strassman A.B.A. : Michelle Ruff.
Vulcan422 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Baiken: Karen Strassman Anji: JYB Jam: Wendee Lee Testament: Roger Craig Smith using his Siegfried voice or Vic Mignogna using his Akechi Mitsuhide voice Bridget: Laura Bailey using pre-puberty Sena voice from CS Zappa: Spike Spencer Robo-Ky: Sam Riegel Kliff: Paul St. Peter Justice: Mary Elizabeth McGlynn A.B.A: Laura Post or Marianne Miller Izuna: Todd Haberkorn Raven: Patrick Seitz using Dio voice
Tsuki Garyuu Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Yeah, sure, why not? (New) Justice: Same VA as Aria. And please filter it for fear inducing effect. Testament: David Matranga Anji: Yeah, he definitely looks like a Todd Haberkorn character. Baiken: Karen Strassman Bridget: I had trouble figuring out who would work before, but now I remember Amanda Celine Miller. She's got the perfect ambiguity in her voice to BE Bridget. Raven: You wanna give Axl a British accent? Give Raven to Patrick Seitz and he'd better have a German accent.
Generic_Soda Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 The only English voice I'll accept for Zappa is Johnny Young Bosch. The idea of the guy with the "perfect hero voice" babbling incoherently and yelling at everything is riotously funny to me. Bryce Papenbrook would be a good Izuna if he's using his Theodore voice, Vic Mignogna is my pick for Anji, and my unrealistic hope for Bridget would be Maxey Whitehead (Alphonse Elric, Czeslaw from Baccano!).
Jocelot Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 I was thinking of Spike Spencer for Zappa as well, actually. I like that. Only question is, should they give him a hammy Australian accent or not? Also I like Travis Willingham or even Patrick Seitz for Johnny. I love Liam but I was a bit disappointed they used him for Johnny. Just seemed too.... safe a choice I guess? And Todd Haberkorn for Anji? I admit I never thought of it, but it could work. I kinda pictured Anji with a deeper, kinda eccentric voice though. From what I've heard of Todd he's good at young, brash dudes.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Patrick " I am in everything" Seitz is a safe choice? Sure.
Jocelot Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 I just meant between Chronus and Axl, having Liam voice Johnny as well was kinda stretching his talents out more then necessary imo. I was kinda hoping Johnny's VA would've been a voice actor who wasn't already two other people. And its not like you can't not spot Liam O'brian's voice instantly.
werewolfgold Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Manly Bridget voiced by Gerald C. Rivers, please. lol
The Badgerine Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Seeing as Sol's English VA is still a mystery, lemme take a stab in the dark. Christopher Corey Smith. Call me crazy but I think there's a chance.
creeping shadow Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 After hearing Fredrick in story mode I'm about 98% sure Sol is voiced by Grant George.
Stellarcircle5 Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 After hearing Fredrick in story mode I'm about 98% sure Sol is voiced by Grant George. I'm sorry, but its not Grant George. Sol doesn't sound breathy or smooth enough to be him.
Poultrygeist Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 YO, I think I figured out who Chipp might be! After listening to his lines in story mode again, I have a feeling he could be Michael Sorich. I know he sounds REALLY familiar, that's the only one that comes to mind right now.

Ventus Tatshima Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I honestly thought Sean schemmel voiced him tbh

Poultrygeist Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 That's the guy who voices Vaike in FE:A right? Now that you mention it DOES sound pretty likely it's him. And Gen in SF4, yes. It was Vaike who made me think it was him doing Chipp though.
smang Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I also don't get people who say that Axl's accent is Austin Powers bad. Like..., really? I am friends with several English people (and a few Australian people). It's not that bad, y'all. i don't want to sound rude... but it's terrible. like, really bad. it sounds more Australian to me. Its Dick Van Dyke levels of good.
Tsuki Garyuu Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I'm not advent on recognizing how good an accent is no matter how hard I try, so (perhaps unfortunately) I have to recognize Axl's accent as passable. Liam has some experience with British voiceovers before, but his presence over the entire cast, especially when his Johnny is not as distinguishable as his Chronus, has him stick out like a sore thumb and it does, at least, have me question if his accents.
Generic_Soda Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 He's just supposed to be doing a really silly cockney accent. Liam's British accent in D4 is spot on. Also I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who had Chipp pegged for Sean Schemmel.
Vulcan422 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 For another example of Liam O'Brien doing an awesome British accent, there's Walter in his young adult form from Hellsing Ultimate Ep. 9.
smang Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 if this is the same Liam O'Brien who voiced the English guy in binary domain i'll have to politely disagree. he goes through about 10 regional accents in one sentence. it's fine, but y'all claiming it's good seem to be from the USA... edit: haha, just listened to him in D4. nope.
werewolfgold Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Hey, I didn't say it was good. I said it wasn't that bad/not terrible. There's a difference. I've heard worse is all I'm sayin'. lol
LeDom Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 So just found out, Chipp is actually voiced by Edward Bosco, a newcomer http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Edward-Bosco/
