You don't have to be moe to sound comical, just check out some of Yuu Kobayashi's roles for great examples.But yeah, I'm not surprised that she's not voiced yet, considering that they would need to name her moves before voicing her lines.
Blade Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 GUYS! GUYS! I found Sol's English Voice actor again! This time in a more high profile game: He voices Jamus the former Bandit in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII in the "Skeletons in the Closet" side quest! You can find him in the desert bar in Ruffian and he sounds quite drunk in the story. I still don't know who it is yet, but it's a CLUE!

Or rather, sound moe to be comical. And you'd be right, but what's stopping the director from doing so anyway? I'm putting on my usual skeptic glasses and expecting the worst. Maybe it would be Kobayashi (only recognize her voice from Sasha), which I'd be down for.

I was watching some video samples of their voice work and it's definitely not them, despite their varied talents. If this guy has voiced RPG characters, I'm gonna keep looking!

I'll give you detyails as they arise I am DEFINITELY gonna try finding sol's VA... Even if my friend grabbed an accapella version of the Carmen Sandiego theme XD

TAI-X Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 The million dollar question about Revelator's voice acting is, of course, who will be cast to fill Iemasa Kayumi (RIP)'s shoes as Slayer. Mugihito (Kinzo in Umineko) and Chafurin (Oishi in Higurashi) would both be solid choices, even if they can't sound quite as dignified. Banjo Ginga could certainly handle it, too - he tends to use a more gruff voice, though he's shown impressive range in a huge variety of roles over the decades. Of course, Banjo's also way more overused, and like with Norio Wakamoto it's gotten to the point where I'm almost sick of hearing him.

Interesting that young Ragna is not voiced by Seitz/Sugita. Both made a good job in the games. Does Hakumen still don't has a voice filter, or more like the wrong one, like in the trailer?
Vulcan422 Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Hakumen has a new voice filter for Alter Memory. It's just a very slight warble effect. His voice is no longer pitched down and no longer has the Darth Vader reverb. He sounds more like CT-CS Hakumen now. Also, Alexis Tipton sounds pretty good as Platinum. If they end up replacing Laura Bailey she'd be a great choice for a recast.

Basically voices you heard in BB that sound like they'd be in GG too (or were in GG). Also I know a few JP voices from BB were in GGXrd: Makoto > Libraria Azrael > Raven/Crow Kuruwaba Ragna-the-Bloodedge > "That Man" Relius Clover > Venom
