Cyringohn Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Combo #1 is a great option, especially if you already have 3 Souls. Saves you some Tension to play around with. You might lose some pressure in the end, but it's totally situational, so.

I think u can connect another summon after his forcebreak hits in certain situations so maybe u can even get 10 orbs (instant raoh? lol) how is combo 1 a great option when you already have 3 souls? if u do that combo, you just unsummoned raoh after your second summon and ur orbs are gone... if everything hits its 7 orbs, basically the only time you'd want to do this combo is when you have 0 or 1 orbs, that way you keep ur orbs instead of unsummoning raoh. Hitting this combo with 0 orbs would be good, because you keep 25% tension to play around with until raoh comes out instead of using all 100% to summon raoh and being unable to do edgy RC... of coz your opponent still bleeds if u land anything with raoh tho =D
Zoogstin Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 That combo actually doesn't make sense at all considering how you can't dash immediately after the second 236P without a RC (which is not mentioned in the combo by the way) unless you run after the opponent hits the ground and then do a 214D for a otg hit. =/ Plus I think there are some better jump install options for Zappa's sword.

I don't have the Mook to hand with me atm so I can't double check things...I know my Japanese isn't perfect but I do know that if "dash" is written in a combo in the Mook then I've translated it and left it in (as in Combo 1.) Very occasionally the Mook will list (land) in brackets if you have to re-jump in a combo and occasionally it won't when it's obvious. So sometimes I will add in (land) myself but I've never added in "dash" unless it's definately there. Zoogstin, those combos are ffrom the Mook. They don't list the absolute best combos to be using vs every char in every possible situation. The game is still only 3 months old. I feel that they're designed to give you a feel for combos. So yes there are probably better options for some combos.

Zoogstin Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 yeah its also in the "Butterfly" combo video. I could have sworn I saw somebody tech out of 2D once in an AC match. Just never during this loop. I've also never seen somebody tech out of 2D when Zappa comboed the opponent into it. Maybe the tech time really has been improved so that the opponent can't tech out before hitting the ground. =/ Oh well that's fine with me. Unfortunately the loop isn't as efficient as the previous one.

Is it possible to do after the 236+S,K a j.HS>groundbounce>combo? What about Zappa's Backdash? I think it's a little bit faster than at Reload and Slash... am I wrong?
