Pretty much every single member of both main casts is playable now, I don't think it's about popularity at this point.

Except MC, feMC and Shinji.. Oh and Metis, but no one cares about her.

 

I'm aware that it's pretty unlikely that they'll try to shoehorn one of the above into the game, especially since they are all gone one way or another; but I really wouldn't mind if they did. It's not like there's an abundance of choices left for P3 and P4 characters.

Personally, I think the DLC is going out of hand right now. We got a character confirmed for DLC, along with BGMs, glasses (seriously why would you ever want this..), navigators and now these cards. Just once in 2014 I'd like to see a game where DLC does not exist or at least isn't revealed before the game is even released.

Have anyone translated the Famitsu article yet, I'm interested in seeing if there's a description of his play style beyond vague out of context screenshots.  SRK have not updated their aticle yet.

Well, J-Stars doesn't have any DLC so far.

 

Point proven, there IS a game out there with no DLC at the moment, even if it will never see Western shores due to licensing.

I mean more along the lines of announcing so much extra added content ("extra" used tentatively) before the game is even released. It's like they're already prepping us to be their cash flow instead of first giving us a complete game and then asking us if we'd like something extra to go with it.

I see nothing wrong with DLC. If you don't want it, then don't buy it.

That is absolute nonsense and you know it.  Withholding finished content is blatantly anti consumer and doesn't deserve your dollar.  But some people will always be sheep.

Reading posts like this is always awkward because it's always very clear the person posting has a very limited understanding of the overall topic but yet feels the need to look down on others who oppose his opinion :S

 

But enough of this, let's get back on the topic of news and gameplay people before the mods start issuing warnings.

I agree with Rurouni, lets just be hyped with the addition of Adachi! I can't wait to play him, been waiting on this announcement forever. Show me the trailer Atlus...!

Adachi was definitely my number 1 dude to make it since the first Arena so jeah, I'm pretty hyped at his inclusion. I just hope he doesn't end up ass in the long run. Then again I use Elizabeth so I suppose anything is a trade up.

Adachi's inclusion is giving me a character crisis. No bullet guage or anything like that, so I'm curious as to what his play style will be. What if he had Heat Riser, and buffed himself for a small amount of time? That'd be pretty dope.

While I completely detest day one DLC in most cases, but most of this is more of the same from the last game. Glasses and Colors came in a combo pack and was like 5 bucks I think?  Not too much terribly. And while I really hate the fact that games do this, and stuff like used games sales hurting sales a bit, I've hesitantly come to understand that that is how things are now with add-on content.

 

At least they kind of explained Adachi being DLC.

 

Speaking of Adachi, I read something posted the other day saying that he'd mostly be using his pistol in melee attacks moreso than shooting it, and that a few of his nomrals would be based off of Terumi's? Not sure of the legitimacy of this but I can definitely see him pistol whipping for most of his attacks.

I agree. He doesn't seem to have a gague for bullets(unless he's like Naoto during P4A).

Did he even use his gun during the boss battle in Persona 4? When I fought him he only used his persona.

That's Sho's hand. He's showing everyone a magic trick but nobody's looking his way.

 

Honestly, the boxart is...eh alright, I guess. I dunno, maybe it's because I never saw Yu as a great character, but I am not too fond of how he takes up 70% of the image, while everyone else is shoved to the side. The image is also rather large so I wonder if they'll actually fit it on a PS3 case and keep the image quality.

Yeah that was a subtle way to say "This is the main character! Worship him! Also the rest of the fighters are here too.."

Can't complain though since Narukami maxed out his expression stat clearly.

Seeing that Adachi is on the boxart, I take it that it means they intented to have all the characters on it. My expectations for another character are getting lower and lower.
