TheYukianesa-01 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 People that skip all the intro's when the game is obviously still trying to catch up. At least let it run until it stops lagging and becomes smoother, sheesh.
Errol Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 if the game needs time to sync the connection it does it before the stage now
BenignPacifist Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 When you're opponent wins a round and you politely let them gloat in their win screen, but when they lose they're quick to mash into the next round.
RifleAvenger Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 (edited) When you're opponent wins a round and you politely let them gloat in their win screen, but when they lose they're quick to mash into the next round. Wait... there are people who don't mash into the next round, win or lose? Anyways, for some reason I can't confirm air hits with any of my characters not named Azrael on netplay. And it's really starting to piss me off when I stuff a roll with 2A etc., only to have them air tech into possibly a better situation than if I just let them roll (since my followup attack will be busy whiffing). TAI-X Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I hate that the global lobbies don't show a connection number over every player's head; instead you have to go looking for them on the list. So I end up getting a lot of laggy connections by mistake. Along with the mandatory time limit in online training, this seems like a pretty big oversight. Also, fighting endless Ragnas and Jins, but I think that's been a problem since 2009. I haven't seen Noel nearly as much as I did in CSE, though.
BenignPacifist Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I dont like large rooms, personally. It's too much pressure to win. You lose you have to wait like 15 minutes to play another match and that's super annoying. anything higher than 4 i dont like
WarCloud Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 - Seeing people put down new players - People with excuses - People who are afraid of competition - People that kick you for winning or no good reason - And of course, lag
gwcommander Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 jerks really and people who whine. i play different fighters with a friend and he just bitches. his buttons arn't working, or im just lucky, or that isn't suppose to do that. I'm just like shut up. im just the kind of person who plays for fun and i want to have a good match win or lose but when some lose they act like you shot their dog
someonewhodied Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Netplay. That one to two frames of lag really screws you up :|
mAc Chaos Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 You always seemed the most tolerant of lag though.
someonewhodied Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Well netplay seems to know what i want when it comes to severe lag. I don't need to lagswitch. Lag gets extreme whenever my opponent lands a fatal or p1:100 lv4 starter. But when it comes to nu combos now, man all these 22As. a bit of lag will fuck me over.
gwcommander Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 For me it depends on how bad it is, its really bad when it is all moving at like 2 fps
ReynTime180 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Usually if it lags too hard I'll just start spamming 6D or 3C cause, fuck it, there's nothing I can do at that point
Maker Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Lag only bothers me when I feel it would cost me the match... at least at my bro's where my connection is good. My only real issue with online play is people NOT communicating. I haven't had a lot of time to put into BB since a year or more ago and i've come back to learning Rachel and Valk (i still suck). But when i run into fantastic players who completely destroy me. I get no responses to my messages, or I get kicked from the lobby. Kicked I understand. After about two or three rounds yeah I should look elsewhere. But when I see someone annihilate me or some other player with a character I'm interested in using then send them something along the lines of. "Holy crap great (insert character here), any advice or tech for a rookie (character) player?" I get mostly no response, occasionally a few GG's or thanks for complementing their skill but often times the simple help a small message could give is sometimes insanely helpful, especially on the spot. I miss that sort of assistance.
TeeJay Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Sometimes I'm in ranked matches and I'll repeatedly get a new player or someone below average who is no match for my main. I'll try to be nice and switch to my Tsubaki or Hakumen to make things a bit more even/interesting for them. As soon as I do that sometimes, I get some 800+ psr guy or some distinguished player and am stuck with my tertiary character. Then I want to prove myself so badly afterward.

I'm new to these forums in particular, but in my domain I've always helped new players.
NecroTheReaper Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 The game censoring Kokonoe's name. Still netplay, just not game impacting xD
tataki Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Ranked match doesn't work for me. When I refresh the list it stops showing people.
Airk Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Ranked match doesn't work for me. When I refresh the list it stops showing people. I think this is a known bug in CP.
vierranv Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 (edited) Sandbagging. This is something I recently noticed that I just hate. When someone clearly is skilled but chooses not to try or literally stands idle for a match and then just goes bat-shit crazy in the next round. Also when they let you get free hits. When I win or lose, I want it to be 'for real'. Something I don't like doing is leaving a match right after I won (or after I've lost), even though I really have other things to do. It just comes off as me being rude (not that I mind when others do it to me). When I have to leave, I try to win two in a row or I leave when I've lost 2 in a row. It's difficult to show people that you aren't salty online, or an asshole waiting for the perfect win to leave. Edited November 10, 2013 by vierranv
Yuhoke Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 When people go to hubs in the world map lobby that are clearly not close to their own country. For example, happened yesterday: I live in Scandinavia, go to the world map mode and see that "hey, 10 people are playing in a hub closest to my country (RU2), cool, maybe I'll get some good connections". Then I go in to the room and see that they are all from japan with red connections. And I'm like "....WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE DOING HERE"
ReynTime180 Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 The game censoring Kokonoe's name. Still netplay, just not game impacting xD Wait, what?
Vulcan422 Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Several. -Skipping the intros when you have 2 bars or less. -Mics in game chat, which also contribute to lag and are a massive distraction. -Sandbagging. -People who kick you just to get the salty runback. There is a line for a reason. This isn't fucking kindergarten. You don't get cuts. -People who absolutely refuse to learn, adapt, or play to their full potential. -People who make ridiculous excuses for their losses, ranging from "spamming such-and-such", or "throwing is cheap". Scrubbery in general just pisses me the fuck off and makes me lose both my faith in humanity as well as my sanity by a considerable amount.
