StylisH Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 When will the Noel hate stop? lol When people stop eating 4k+ from drive counters
Master Of Chaos Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 It's like asking when people will stop bitching about Ragna. The answer is "when they stop eating Inferno Divider." Basically, never. Main character privileges, yo.
xSanosuke Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 It's like asking when people will stop bitching about Ragna. The answer is "when they stop eating Inferno Divider." Basically, never. Maein character privileges, yo. Even sadder is the fact that it doesn't even take a few Inferno Dividers to the chin to set people off in regards to Ragna. I'm a Ragna main who fairly rarely uses ID on wake-up and I've still been bitched at after I've kicked some poor saps' ass simply by virtue of the fact that, ya know, Ragna. Main character privileges indeed.
mAc Chaos Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 It's never going to stop. It's even built into the story. The World hates her, remember!

Main character privileges indeed. haha. I remember trying to bait IDs like 4 or 5 times which ended up being awkward stare-downs. I actually don't mind most characters regarding personality. I think I did hate fighting Noel players in CS2. lol, I had the worst tooth pain during a match and couldn't concentrate on playing. i literally started blocking the entire match and had to apologize to the other player later. I think he thought I was trolling him, especially since I started pulling out subs galore. I'm like, naw dawg, blah blah. Haha, I guess I feel awkward taking time to stick type some message when I think the other player may walk away at any time. I wish there was an, I'm typing icon.
xSanosuke Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 haha. I remember trying to bait IDs like 4 or 5 times which ended up being awkward staredowns. Yeah, I remember those staredowns all too well last time we played. I've never been big on wake-up IDs for a number of reasons. I reckon that learning to block instead on wake-up and finding gaps in certain character's/players' pressure is decidedly more conducive to improving oneself as a player, and in the event that they are baited it's not like Ragna's low health is conducive to taking too many big punishes before you've lost the round anyway. And even when I have meter to make them safe, I prize my rapid cancel combos far too greatly to spend my meter on much of anything else most of the time.
StylisH Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Real talk, I used to bait wake up ID to practice fatal combos
Ziggy_Stardust Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I also hate it when I beat somebody then somebody proceeds to tell me why they lost and how much better they are than me.
StylisH Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Loketest news has nerfed this thread to squirrel tier
susano Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Grapplers who get angry when they charge towards me like idiots and expect not to get a sword or a stein up their ass. Seriously, you were going to get punished doing that. It's not my fault you ran right into it.
Speakeasy Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 When I do a j.C>5C confirm with Nu and Nu lands and does 5C in the wrong direction for whatever reason, making me lose my dope-ass combo and take ludicrous damage. Is it too much to ask for my combos to not ruin themselves with no input from me?

Zeron_X25 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 It's always a sad day when that happens. That's an awfully puny reason to make your day sad. Cheer up a bit.
AvatarofWhat Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 When people ragequit right before or after I beat them in ranked mode also when i whiff j.d with because of a sudden lagspike and it ends up costing me the match...
StylisH Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 When my opponent gives up in the second round. Happened twice this morning with two different players. Have some heart, son.

I never understood why people just put down the controller mid match. It almost feels like they're trying to spite you by ruining the match.
Monarch Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 I think it's just a matter of: "Wow, never gonna beat this guy. Might as well just give up." Although I'm not a fan of that train of thought, I'm sure a lot of people think it mid-match.
StylisH Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 I never understood why people just put down the controller mid match. It almost feels like they're trying to spite you by ruining the match. Maybe ego? "I didn't lose if I didn't play". Everybody loses. Hell I've had days where I lost 7-8 times in a row, but giving up won't help you learn a damn thing.
Speakeasy Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 So I'm accidentally learning more about this backwards 5C nonsense. It's getting great. Fun fact: If you manage to somehow tag your opponent with the little sliver of hitbox on the back of 5C after a bugged backwards 5C, you can input 6B (6 being toward the opponent, and you input that because you know you won't get a combo so you might as well just go for broke) and you'll get 4B. I don't... what?

I don't... what? Fucking inputs, how do they work? I used to get so mad at weird hitboxes, but now I just laugh. I remember ragna doing 5D when I was behind him and still getting tagged. Good times.

Hell I've had days where I lost 7-8 times in a row, but giving up won't help you learn a damn thing. Pfft, I'll raise you to 20. I'm like, I'm gonna take a round back; I'm gonna blow up his pressure. I'll try to catch them with Tsubaki's command grab. The battle for me is not losing but feeling pressured to meet the other player's expectations. I hate when other people quit on me because they think the gap is too large. Likewise, I have the habit of thanking much better players for lengthy sets. I can get frustrated, but I don't mind losing quite a lot of matches-- though I don't enjoy losing. I'll try to learn one thing from it I suppose.
Soviet Bear Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 I never understood why people just put down the controller mid match. It almost feels like they're trying to spite you by ruining the match. I've only ever had that happen at the start of each version, when new players would swarm in. Mostly because people couldn't recover from 6B spam in the corner. Actually, wait, I had it happen in BBCP too when I linked kishu throws 4+ times... Maybe it's because I play a parry character, but I've had enough comebacks versus 60%+ health leads in fighting games that I never feel like dropping a round.
