Kagura's [2]8C.

After inspecting it closely in training mode I've learned the depths of its depravity. If you're in the air at all there is absolutely no reason I can find for him to not use it. Enormous hitbox, air unblockable, much quicker recovery than other lesser DPs, unlike other multi-hitting moves if you stop holding back it'll get you, it's not even punishable on Instant Barrier or by double jumping back out of its hitbox. there's also no need to use it on the ground,..

It's the most infuriating thing I've ever encountered. What is its weakness? Or how does Relius beat this defensive tool.

It's really good, and it's also his best anti air. You either hard bait it or go for overheads during pressure, since he has to hold down to charge

When people start bashing on each other over the arcade lobby. Go private, damn dogs... No one needs to listen to such foul garbage.

And Kokonoe. I'm sorry but that's not happening anytime soon. It isn't worth it... I try but it's not.... (TωT)

When my 5A wiffs on a running animation x.x why?

Does this have to do with Terumi? (Why even use 5A? 2A is faster and hits crouching enemies too.)

Posted

It was against Rachel actually xD and 5A is 6f, 2A is 7f but + on block.

When did this happen? I always thought 5A was 6 frames on startup and 2A was 5. This changes things I guess. Time for some solo Relius Hazama like stagger BS methinks.

Doesn't really change that 2A is better in almost every way, but if they're running in why are you jabbing in the first place?

It was a winded air approach, and 2C can be risky so I used 5A. Sadly they hit the ground first and the 5A jusy gave Rachel a nice scalp massage.

Seriously though, if 2A was 5f, Relius wouldn't be as bad on def as he is xD. I dont think anyone in the cast has a 5f 2A

What's risky about 2C in this situation? if it catches a block you just delay a second cancel it into 3C, then a jump cancel if that's blocked too. (Works every time for me) If it whiffs that would mean she's been blown over you and the wind has in all likeliness blown her out of punish range, or through some oddity they undershot where they were trying to go and still can't reach you in time.

Because of the same reason you can only use 5A against Valk's wolf pressure, 6f startup > 7f head invul. You can still get CH'd. Anyway, this really isnt the place to discuss Relius xD

Nope you've brought me right back to pet peeves. Who's big idea was 7th Frame head invuln on an anti air that has worse vertical reach than most character's 5Bs??

Posted

When supposedly bad defense characters like Kokonoe get frame 4 head invuln and a good hitbox on a 6A that confirms into more damage on normal hit. At least it could be worse,  they could just force us to anti air with 6B...

Posted

Unholy lag and dropping combos that could have won the match. Or...forgetting Mu's 6B into astral doesn't work anymore.

My pet peeves knows no bounds.

When I play with someone that skips the intros and think "I should message him asking him not to skip the intros for connection's sake." And then I lose and can't do it because it'll just make me look salty.

Trust me, let the salt flow. Don't suppress it. Then you'll one day end up punching the wall in rage.

People like that irritate me to no end.

I always do it, lag is the worst enemy.

Worse yet, fighting someone you have a horrible connection to and they skip the intros, causing awful lag.

Then they refuse to fight you again.

You caused the lag yourself, damnit!

Well, living in Denmark doesn't really help your situation either XD

Fought one guy in a lobby a whole bunch of times the other night.  Our connection was kind of shaky and he just kept mashing through the intros of every match so the announcer was going "The... wheel... of... fate..... is......."  And I'm thinking, Really?  Do you honestly believe this is saving us any time?  And of course, first rounds were always extra laggy as a result.

The dude was actually really nice and I doubt he was skipping intros out of frustration or anything like that.  I think some people just mash buttons at the start of every match as a reflex from playing offline.

For the first time ever, I've had someone blame my connection for the lag going on in game. Know what's funny? My opponent picked snow town, and skipped the intro. He also was a 1 bar. Yeah, I was dumbfounded.

When someone switches to your main and does all the tricks your supposed to be doing. I guess it's good to get another replay on what I'm supposed to be doing with Rachel instead of spending the whole match trying to get off the 5B combo I've been practicing, but it does get annoying after awhile. Also immediately switching to their sub after the first match and then feeling like they're toying with me instead of playing seriously. Really nothing I can complain about though until I get better.

Oh not skipping helps with the connection? I guess I'll stop doing that then.

I think it has to do with the way the game syncs up between players.  The majority of the data exchange happens at the very beginning of the match, so that's when the lag is likely to be worst.  Letting the stage and character intros play out gives the game additional time to do its thing, so the connection should (theoretically) be at its smoothest by the time the first round starts instead of halfway through it.

Again, I think that's how it works.  My understanding of netcode is largely limited to what other people have said and my own observations of the game's behavior online.

It helps tremendously. When you pick random stage, a kitten dies. Please, think of the kittens. .__.
